I'm 6ft 2 and was decent at heading the ball, always remember 1 team I played the guy was smaller than me, but kept beating me to the ball, so as the ball came I took a step backwards which put him off and then I won it everytime. I was a thinking forward (thinking I was better than I was) but I was slow as fuck and would have made Lati look like prime Linford Christie

I'm 6.2 and was always crap in the air. My manager used to say 6.2 heads 5.2 . However , my old man told me to back into defenders as refs at this level will fall for it. They did and I won loads of free kicks.

I was slow (amongst many other deficiencies) and isn't it annoying when you get someone against you who seems to run funny yet somehow can just sprint away from you with ease? And there was always one fat lad who was like a rocketship.

And for the record, 5'8'' and pretty good in the air at both ends of the pitch.

Always starts games with some anxious dodgy passes and then grows into an unbeatable defender!

If we go up, he will leave on a high and probably as a cult hero for these performances to see us over the line.

This. He has been brilliant alongside Bobbert so far and just a thoroughly likeable bloke by all accounts.

He's been brilliant. A massive reason we've turned this around by being so solid and bringing such aggression into the team.

Hes just the sort of player you want when you're up against it . He's always been a wholehearted player who leads by example and never shirks a challenge

Yes 100%.

His lack of athleticism is made up for in his courage and fight.

Him and Bobby have been superb the last 3 and should keep the shirt for the rest of the year.

Definitely a limited player even at Championship level, but a real credit to himself this season. Goes to show what can happen when you trust in your squad.

Sometimes you need players to call on who will dig out results , Lati and Thomas also Onyeka in the last few games are exactly them type of players .
Sakamoto also for his desire and willingness to keep going

Lampard has also alluded to him adding an edge to training with a few added tackles and challenges flying about

Yes we were in a slump and needed some of those less flashy players to step up and drag us to results. Totally agree.

They did, but they brought the battle to those dirty bastards.

Grimes calling Campbell a fucking cheat was quality too.

They are what they are , they are never going to be a Beckenbauer or a Cruyff but they throw themselves in front of everything and play with heart and passion

It was quite hard to tell on the replay but I'm pretty sure it was a dive.

Lats is never going to be Bobby Moore, but his communication and organizing of those around him is why he is a very good player to have in the squad. To do that while concentrating on your own performance is a talent. Another good performance.

I’ll never enjoy watching him but it was definitely a game we could’ve been bullied out of. Needed some steel from him and others to see us through.

You are allowed to just say you were wrong lads you don’t need to preface every compliment with “I think he’s shit really”

Not as good as Fadz obviously, but I would say he is the closest we’ve had since at reading the game and positioning.

I didn't think we'd be saying at any point that Thomas and Latibaudiere would be our best centre back pairing this season, but fair play to him. He's come in and done superbly.

Would have been easy for Lampard to persist with Thomas And Kitch’ .. quality to push Lati in to do a workmanlike job in defence and take the pressure off a pair that were struggling.

Also it must've taken balls to not throw Woolfenden in , who we paid a decent fee for

It’s funny that the money signings made since Lampard arrived are in reverse order of cost in squad placement. Markelo the most expensive can’t get in the squad, Grimes the cheapest is captain and ever present, KKH and Woolf are on the bench or just outside the squad.
