Murphy is the best keeper we've had since we were relegated from the PL apart from Westwood.

No he doesn't. Not many keepers seem to dominate their box. I don't think the return of Murphy is the answer although I do think an experienced keeper alongside Burge would help him develop. I think burge still has a long way to go before I would count him as first choice keeper.

He is first choice keeper whether you like it or not.

I'd much rather we develop Burge and Charles-Cook. Both are clearly talented.

Both earned rave reviews during their spells at Nuneaton, i seem to remember. And I thought Burge showed promise when i saw him last year. You can't expect a goalkeeper to be the finished article at 22.

Westwood and Murphy played 170 league games between them at 22

Yeah so they were given a chance to develop? Burge hasn't been able to get game time: was number 2 to Murphy for 2 years... And was only weened in this year... Give the guy a chance... I've seen enough in him to suggest he could develop into a good keeper.. Yes he made mistakes but I would bet Murphy and Westwood did too in their first 50 games...
