..... sounds like a nice humble chap and the scunny reporter hasn't got enough praise for him, on or off the pitch - do we know if we've made an approach for him?

Same agent as Westwood, sounds to me that its a done deal, especially as this has come out on the same day that the local Sunderland rage claims Westwood is a done deal, just with the timing of his announcement to be decided

It's ok with his handball experience in his native Iceland, we can stick Gunnarsson in Goal.

i'm not really too worried about who we put between the sticks - We always seem to land on our feet with goalkeepers - i can't remember the last bad keeper we had (that played for more than a season)
this chap sounds like he'd be good to have around the club though and the scunny fans seem to love him.

At a push I'd say Bywater was our worst. So, that's saying something.

KonstanCRAPolous comes to mind. Murphy is the best replacement available though fingers crossed.

steele - ha yeah he's not relevant to this post

Andy Marshall got player of the season if i remeber right (first season at the Ricoh i think)

has it got anything to do with the goalkeeping coahes that we've (nearly) always had good keepers - or is it just fine scouting?

Bad Keepers we've had a few since leaving the Prem!

Clayton Ince
Luke Steele
Fabien Debec
Scott Shearer - not the best either

Apart from Westwood and Fulop can't think of many good ones since relegation

SCOTT SHEARER! Awful - although admittedly he wasn't here for more than a season.

Luke Steele was though (I think...) and he wasn't much better.

Clayton Ince only played 1 league game didnt he?? And i think we lost to Leicester, but he played well?? Not sure he warrants a place in this list.

Glad you mentioned Debec though as i was goin to say him if no1 else did.

I didnt rate Bywater one bit, nor Steele.

Shearer was goin to be the next big thing, although he was coming from Scotland so I suppose he lived up to expectations (partly). Just a shame he was shite like most keepers from Scotland (Andy Goram excluded from that. He was a great laugh when we had him on loan!!)
