Stupid decision to bring him back. Was a major f-up when he was manager, how is he gonna be as Director Of Football. Alan Pardew cant be happy with someone interfering with HIS team. I certainly wouldnt be. It's his team and he should have the right to make the decisions he wants to make regarding tranfers, match-plans and other squad matters. Personally, im against the Director Of Football at any club. If you're appointed manager, you're putting your bollocks on a table with a knife hanging above it, so you dont want someone else making decisions for you

The last person I'd want as manager is Alan Pardew. I'd prefer Andy thorn.

Thorn never organised pre season tournaments in Norway at least. Can't knock him for that.

Tbf to Kinnear he took that side from the relegation zone to mid table and probably would of kept them up if he hadn't been forced out with heart problems.

I do however think it's a massive mistake to bring him in, in that role though.

sounds like the type of tactic you may employ if you regretted giving the manager an eight yr contract. Alternatively the Owner may rate him for some reason.
