First FL gets a red card and was out against out match vs Hull. I just learned Joe Edwards picked up a red card today. Guess he will be out for our match against Plymouth. By the way Joe Edwards is the Plymouth captain (not our asst coach ).

The penalty and then the resulting red card are up there with the worst decisions I've ever seen

What was the red for, the foul for the penalty or arguing with the ref after he gave it?

He put his arm out and (barely) touched the players back, and the player went down like he'd been shot, and the ref couldn't wait to give the pen.

Honestly it was fucking embarrassing.

It's a honking decision, the ref couldn't wait to give it or the red card

Will that get overturned? I mean…I know it should but I really don’t know what the rules are any more. Just make it up as they go along.

The ban will probably stand as there's only 72 hours between games.
And whatever happens the result won't change.

The FL will back the ref rather than have the bollocks to admit he made a mistake.

Christ, what’s the ref thinking there. It’s such a bad dive

It's crazy when you think how much that decision could potentially cost Plymouth financially.

It won't get over turned as there was contact no matter how slight.

It must of been for something he said. The ref was walking away until Edwards started talking to him.

It was a terrible decision but there was contact so it’s not a dive

DOGSO

It's not a pen but if the ref thinks it is and it's not an attempt to win the ball he has to send him off.

It depends how the ref saw it, he has got it wrong, but he clearly thought it was a push and he was through on goal. So ref gives a pen for the push and then has no option but to give the red card.

Not surprised; Keith Hackett has said it was the right call, so Plymouth likely knew there was no point.

It’s a joke, an absolute referee’s union. Make a shit decision, but know you’ll be backed 99.9% of the time.

That in itself should be solid grounds for an appeal I'd say.

I watched, slowed down, paused the replay and it’s hard to tell for sure but while everyone’s watching the defender’s hand it looks like he he might have clipped his ankle.

But once a player puts his hand on a player and pushes him it is open to interpretation as to how hard it was and whether it was enough to send him to the floor.

It is a risk players are prepared to take every game all over the pitch

Godden was penalised as there was zero contact.

Edwards hasn't played that many games, it won't really effect them.

I didn't say it wasn't, but if you push an opponent you are asking the ref to make a decision.
