That's not saying much. Reid has been poor for us.

Jones is nowhere ready enough for the first team.

He flapped it from mid air at one point and took a dive.

He's the most one-footed player I've ever seen. Was pretty awful today (not that it sets him apart from the rest of them). Trying to look on the positive side he's got age on his side and he might be one of those that needs a bit of a run in the team to get his sharpness.

He's also obviously low on confidence - like the rest of the team - who played well today?

Maradona was the most one-footed player I've ever seen. That's not the point.

I'd be very, very happy if Jodi Jones had one foot.

Jones is just another from the conveyor belt of Mowbray and Venus.

For older readers it's like the prizes in the generation game - all shite.

I'm surprised as his parting shot Mowbray didn't get Burge on a 5 year deal.

It is part of the point.
At least Jones looks like he could be capable with decent coaching and improved decision-making. He's got something in there somewhere. Most of the others are beyond help.

It's no wonder there was no money given in January to strengthen look at our last 2 purchases however the money was sourced from the kitty....
JJ and Turnbull, both shocking. There's something in the fact that 30 odd scouts were watching JJ at Dagenham and we won the race....
I'm struggling to think of a positive mark he's contributed to the team this season...
showed his pace today v the Millwall defender as he let him sprint the ball out of play.

You can be hard pressed to come up with many Mowbray signings that have been good unfortunately.

This season probably just Sordell and McCann.

Ghadzhev (although signed at the end of last season) has been very poor, so too Reid and Turnbull, especially a disappointment.

There have been so many failures this season especially.

Jones too has looked a poor buy, as has in grand scheme of things, Lameiras and Rose. Bigi can probably be included in that too.

I am hoping Jones comes good, but it looks like he needs a lot of work on the training ground.

One thing of note that has stood out I think is that of players who give a consistently good level of performance.

Even when you are down amongst the dead men you should have those who consistently put in a decent level of performance. Would say we only have one at the club playing at the moment and that is Beavon. Stokes is another, but of course he is not featuring.

Lameiras and Reid and Bigi and Turnbull and Rose are all far too inconsistent.

Even if we were to go down you do have to ask yourself just exactly who of the players WOULD we want to keep?

It's a short list.

Of the starting team today baring loans I'd only have Clarke and Beavon in my starting 11 in league 2.
You could make a case for George Thomas but he's not a right winger, and I want a goal scorer up top so don't make my 11
Haynes needs to be a winger too

Yeah, Clarke and Beavon for me too.

Obviously would like to keep Stevenson, but we know there is no chance of that happening.

We may be able to retain Beavon and Clarke for League Two with a bit of luck.

George Thomas might do okay at a lower level.

Haynes tried to add a bit of urgency but nobody played well. From an attacking perspective we were particularly poor. No movement from the strikers (I hesitate to call them that). No midfield runners pushing on.

I was hoping Reid would give a bit of treat down the wing... no sign of anything from him. Another who looks like he don't want to be here and no desire to impact a game.
If Haynes is to be offered a new deal and accept then he needs to be given a chance to develop as a winger

I could not agree more with you I think 1 or 2 mangers were looking at Haynes but i bet if any of them had bought him he would not have played fullback yet 3 managers for us T M M V and R S have all tried to play him there and George Thomas is not no winger.

I'd really clear out the decks... I don't see the I'd bleed for the club and any hurt in them even some of our own kids.
We need "men" as the quote of the season goes, mentally strong players.
Its not gonna be pretty football at any league 2 ground next year, horrible muddy pitches with a few that will be nice.

Clarke and Haynes played well in fairness. Haynes at times floats past players like they're not there, and was solid defensively today.

Called this quite early on. No end product. I saw his debut away at Peterborough and whilst most were waxing lyrical ir passed me by. Not by any means a told you so and I wanted to be proved wrong on this but I can't see the lad ever playing at a higher level.

JJ i bet if you looked at his stats would be the most pointless sub made by any team this season.

he had three highlights today...... 1, when he first come on and totally misjudged the flight of the ball for a header when nobody was round him.
2, when he ran the ball out, must of realised he can kick with his right foot.
3, when he passed the ball straight out into toouch.

i can honestly say i have seen better players on a sunday morning still pissed up

That one move when he thought he could hit the ball out to the wing and then go round someone was naivety in the extreme.

The Millwall players immediately sussed what he was going to do and simply took the ball off of him.

Jones is nowhere near good enough for the first team.

Everyone knows I am critical of wingers a lot, but Jones is immensly poor. Great skill but reminds me of Kent. Can't pass, can't cross, and can't shoot.

You don't need to be special to get out of this league, you just need consistency and battle hard work. If you have a flair player they need to perfom regularly or offer an outlet, Jones doesn't.

Reid is another one I find myself looking at and thinking, surely there is still a chance I can make it as a footballer too?

He needs to go back and play at under 21s to be coached and brought on to fulfil his talent which is there, but needs showing how to cross accurately and finish
