......is this a sure thing? I worry that someone will come in and pinch him from under our noses, if he continues to perform and is only on loan.

Does anyone know any details on our 'option to buy'? Could we get pipped by another club? If so, should we hurry up and get the deal done and announced ASAP?

He can't sign at the moment can he because he came in after the transfer window. But what sort of agreement is in place who knows? He might have signed a pre contract agreement but that would be between the clubs, the player and the agent. So very few people will actually know the answer.

No they can't steal him from us.. The loan was agreed with a permanent deal at the end if we was happy with him.. So all the numbers are agreed and just the case of waiting for the transfer window to open..

Don't you think Jones has any say in all this? Don't like these "If we're satisfied with him, we'll sign him" s**t. Smacks of the Westwood scenario when Boothroyd was asked if he had extended Westwoods' contract, saying, "I haven't bumped into him on the training ground yet!" Total disrespect of one of our better players at that time.

On the Nii Lamptey Show podcost CCFC's comms guy Kieran Crowley said the permanent deal is "agreed in principle" whatever that means.

Basically all fees have been agreed, but until we say yes or no, we can't officially agree a deal which Jones has to stick too, until the summer

Has Jones signed this agreement skybluegod? If not it's not worth the paper it's written on... As well you know

Nope nothing signed, it is all verbal as far as i am aware.
Similar to the Marlon King deal, everything is ready to be signed, but until it is, there could be all change.

Doesn't exactly instill confidence, does it? Especially in old sceptics like me.

I doubt there is much more the club are allowed to do at the moment until the season is over.

I expect words like 'hijack' and 'gazumped' may appear in the press headlines soon Get the pre contract signed already!

Don't think we can afford that much after selling Maddison for a reported £3m + add-ons.

I may be wrong but he can't legally sign a pre-contract with another English club

Was thinking myself what's the daggenhams fans version of the deal. Surely they have been told something.

This lad is potentially the best attacker of a ball for many a year. If we lose out to another team it will be the biggest load of s**t spin from this Football Club for years.

Nothing to be said here transfer window is closed. Only a loan with a gentlemans agreement can be done now I believe.

A certain Marlon King comes to mind........ "He's signing an extention to his contract, then promptly signs for Birmingham!

Non league clubs not bound by the transfer window due to the financial issues of non league clubs. However palace are a Premiership club. Maybe there is a rule he can be signed but not registered as a first team player till next season. Interesting.

Palace able to sign him as you cannot make changes to 25 man named squad list... Loop hole triggered.

According to Skybluegod nothing is down in writing, and take it from me, he knows what he's talking about.
