£150k - that would cover any loan fee we nmight get for Marlon and his wages.

JH was great for this club and we wouldn't have had our days in the sun without him, but if we go down this season then we have gone full circle back to where he took us from. I'm sure even the great man himself wouldn't object to the club staying up over a pointless statue of him outside a ground that he had no connection with and that the club don't even own.

We could call it an interest free loan that the club promises to build as part of any ground purchase if and when we're secure.

Seems ludicrous to build it in the current climate.

I am confused about the statue.

Is it going to be some massive thing on the roundabout or is it going to be at floor level so drunk people coming out of the casino can damage it?

The latter I believe opposite the entrance the hotel between the club shop and the casino

I'm in favour - we don't have much tradition for a club over 100 years old.

I don't think the club has put too much towards the statue so not sure where your coming from on this one...

SISU don't deserve a penny of that money, they're a multi-million pound hedge fund and the club is losing £80k a week, what would be the point in giving them the best part of £100k?!?!

We also nned to make the Ricoh feel like home and try and add a bit of ccfc history to the place.

When in doubt do the right thing. JH deserves all our full respect for what he did and the way he has supported us since, a statue is the least we can do. MK is lets face it a scum bag..it would be a bit like sending Oxfam donations to the Gadaffi's pension fund.

I realise the club didn't pay for it otherwise it wouldn't have happened and would already have been swallowed by the debt. What I meant was the fund buy out the contract to the club and pay the wages with a condition that it is built at a later date if the club is financially stable.

I know it won't and can't happen as I'm sure the money and donations are ring-fenced anyway. I'm just saying if we can get £150k of money for this and a similar figure could save our club from extinction, then I know which fund I would rather support.

You may not like Marlon as I can see in the post directly above this, but to face facts if we are in real danger of losing our status and possibly from the third tier with an even lower income stream, we could lose our club and identity entirely.

Therefore I would and I'm sure JH would, swap a meaningless statue outside an empty soul-less bowl that we may not even be playing in over survival and Championship status. However it seems that you prefer a nice shiny statue and relegation.

Rather have the statue and go down than not have one.

£150k would just delay the inevitable (reports suggest we're losing £80k a week) and if the club did enter administation what would then happen to the statue???

Non starter.

I agree that it's inevitable but I would rather start next season in the Championship on minus 10 than in League one on minus 10
