Ah! Another pis take thread. Did you go? Jennings has been awesome this season, today we were over run and he was not at fault, the team was. Second half we came into it but by then spurs had taken their foot off the gas! Getting fed up with this constant slating of our team, get behind them for fs! Pubs!

Jennings has been anything but awesome. What a dumb statement.

He's not been awesome this season, he was very poor before Bailey joined. He's ok, but not awesome.

I don't care about today's game. I don't have anything agai at Jennings but to suggest he is anything other than a league one journeyman is misguided.

Yeah, but Jennings got Motherwell into Europe, should have felt quite at home shouldn't he?

Like slipping on a comfortable pair of shoes for him.

Awesome means he is getting man of the match awards every week. It would be the equivelant of a Steven Gerard performance. Is that what you see every week?

No, if we had steven gerard we would sell him anyways. I just don't agree that he's a first divison journey man, which is insulting to one of our players, and that he is deserving of being singled out. For several games in a row he has been the tackling bite in our team.

You said he was awesome. Why is it an insult to say he is a league one journeyman? What level has he spent most of his career?

Absolutely. Not a dig at Jennings, just think CT should be in the first XI

He was shown up today, takes 5 touches to do something that should take 2. Thomas ahead of him once he is fit, Barton an fleck also done well as subs. Are play in possession was 100x better with the three second half subs. I acknowledge that may be partly down to spurs easing off the gas.

There's at least a dozen central midfielders in league one better.

This is a funny thread. Jennings is not a premiership footballer or even a Champ player. We are a 3rd division team for fooks sake!

He does a decent enough job for us in the division we are in.

While Jennings is clearly a good player at League 1 level, he did look out of his depth today.

Agreed, but most prem players have looked out of their depth this season against Bale and Co.

So did our whole midfield until our trio of subs were made.

Barton played better than Moussa
Fleck better than Bailey
Thomas better than Jennings

Even then, our wingers let us down a bit,

I thought the same - I put it down to his early booking which I actually though was a tad harsh

I'd say it was more Spurs, they were just thinking about 5 seconds faster than us for the first half. We would try an play a pass and a spurs player would intercept it with ease

McPake is captain, Osborne man of the match in 3 successive games and has played over 30 already. Deegan recovered just from a broken jaw. The local paper says Deegan the "Hibs star" makes a return against Motherwell.

All are cogs in their team and all are of similar standard to Jennings.

Deegan has looked infinitely better in the SPL than he ever did in a City shirt. Celtic would hold their own at the top end of the Championship, the next 4 or 5 teams would be bottom half material at best, more likely League 1. As for the likes of Dundee, they'd probably only take a point from the Ricoh, and that's saying something.

I assume Scotland have 2 champions league places. Therefore we'd better get ready to sign Inverness's central midfielder as no doubt he is responsible for getting them there.

Anyone not from Celtic isn't really worth considering and anyone from Celtic we wouldn't be able to afford.

The entire team was rubbish. They never looked like winning.
