The defensive midfielder role can often be a thankless task doing a lot of work that goes unnoticed but with Jennings just don't rate him rarely seems to impose himself and is probably the worst passer at the club.

A central midfield of connor bailey moussa has more pace and skill.

And no balls. I suppose he should have had Bale in his back pocket.

Bollocks, if people have actually seen him play this season they wouldn't slate him from today's game! There is a reason they are top end of the prem!

CWR stated he played poorly and they cover all games.

Think Jennings lacks physical presence for that DM role, tends to be there at the breakdown of the play but can be brushed off the ball. Although not expected to be a creator in midfield, if ever called upon would struggle to create any chances.

Shame really,Bailey had possibly his worst game for us.gave the ball away so many times I lost count.

Jennings was no worse than 8 others in the 1st half !

Edge and Wood aside

We had another player like jennings who sat in front of the back four and broke up the oppositions attacks .Made his debut in a 8-2 defeat at Southampton,he couldn't pass either.Yet he added up with a cup winners medal.Mr McGrath was his name.

My lad said that lots of fans wouldn't see all the good work he puts in and his importance to the team. Lots don't understand teamwork. Some would prefer Doyle

Doyle has had a much better career in England than Jennings. I think he is distinctly average.

Jennings is the only player that I've seen that covers the two centre backs when they bollocks up, he is constantly running, pressurizing the opposition on the ball, he can pass not the best in the team but not the worst, I rate him very highly!

I'd have a fit Connor Thomas over Jennings anyday

Do you think Isaac Osbourne, Deegan and McPake were good players?

That's my point. Yet they can play in the Scottish premier league. The quality in that league is well short of division one.

To be fair Jennings looks much better with a similar player next to him in bailey. I thought he looked poor when he played before bailey and when he played with Fleck on Tuesday.

However I don't think he's better than Doyle and it does make me smile when fans of Jennings take the piss out of Clingan calling him sideways sammy yet Jennings 'ticks possession over'

They play bit parts. Jennings was a main cog in a side that qualified for europe.

So your point is?

I forgot Jennings was the main reason they got into Europe.

Osbourne (when fit), deegan and McPake are first choice at their clubs

McPake is captain, Osborne man of the match in 3 successive games and has played over 30 already. Deegan recovered just from a broken jaw. The local paper says Deegan the "Hibs star" makes a return against Motherwell.

All are cogs in their team and all are of similar standard to Jennings.

Not a big fan of Doyles but contributed far more in terms of goals running with the ball and jennings is no Lloyd, lloyd was a far more imposing player.

I suspect Jennings days as a first team regular will soon be numbered. He didn't sign him did he?

Jennings was awful today as was Bailey. Thomas came on and looked very impressive. Moussa very quiet too.

Stage fright and gave Tottenham too much respect 1st half

Nor does he have a lot more options to replace him in Barton and Fleck?

Could see Thomas playing in his position alongside Bailey when match fit.
