Someone please tell these 2 to move ten yards further up the pitch.

They're defensive midfielders...

Should drop at least 1 of them for Thomas and another midfielder.

Why? Creating chances is not the problem. Protecting a fragile defence is far more important at the moment.

I think that Bailey confuses "Keep a clean sheet lads" with "Keep you kit clean lads"?
Another anonymous evening from our non tackling defensive midfielder.
Actually felt sorry for Jennings tonight cos he put a shift in, should have kept Moussa on though and subbed Fleck for Bailey.

I thought Jennings did well. Can't see why moussa was moved to the left wing as he actually had the close control to get past defenders in central areas whereas Mcsheffrey went missing in the free role

McSheffrey went missing in general tbh.

Jennings did not do well at all, sloppy in possession, and didn't do particularly well out of possession.

I was happy with Jennings. Not so much Bailey although I feel they both looked better in a 442 because they played in front of each other rather than alongside

Both were complete rubbish and are not good enough

I was happier with Bailey than I was with Jennings, even though I didn't think it was particularly a good game from him.

Jennings is ponderous on the ball, rarely passes the ball forwards, can't tackle and quite often gets caught in possession.

If we have to drop one it has to be Jennings to my mind.

Great first 20 minutes but then pretty ponderous until the subs came on and gave them someone to pass to

For a start both of these shouldnt play together. It appeared Bailey was being used in an advanced midfield position which is a waste of a player to me. Fleck and Barton for example would play that role far better. Jennings has not impressed me in all the games ive watched this season. He goes up for headers backwards, he often fouls rather than tackles, cant pass more than 2 yards and is too small to be a midfield enforcer. Bailey isnt a lot better but in a holding role would offer more than Jennings imo. I wouldnt be upset to see a whole new midfield for saturday as most of our goals come from lack of defensive coverage in the middle of the pitch.

As for the defence well this is one of the worst immobile ones ive seen at the Ricoh. Ill leave my appraisal of those for another thread!

Jenno i cna understand holding back, as he is a holding midfielder, but his passing was sloppy, he made no tackles and he is expected to at least try and get forward and help the lads sometimes, but he didnt. Bailey was just lazy, sloppy and just plain awful. Our midfield needs a complete overhaul. I say Fleck on the left wing, as he impressed me last night. His communication with Wilson really helped the lad and we need more of that. Thomas deserves a chance. The little i have seen him this season i have been impressed and he would be a better holding midfielder who can also push forward. Not sure about Barton but right now i'd rather have Pressley in the midfield, cus Bailey has been awful. We need to push Moussa up behind the lone striker as he's been creating some greta moves as of late. Baker had a very off game last night but u still feel he is our mr consistent
