That is rubbish, last season mid table after adding the 10 pts on, the reason form crashed was
1) Lack of support from owners
2) Robbins leaving due to 1)

The owners gave more than adequate support last season, just that Thorn wasted most of it.

Robins left due to a number of reasons, including managing in a higher league and being paid more money.

He didn't leave due to 1 though, he left because a club in a higher division offered him a job and presumably more money. He even went as far to praise the owners when he left and said the club needs help from the council.

Yes agree it was always going to happen when a team sack the manager who signed all the players after 3 draws. Yet don't have a replacement lined up.

A) We signed 20 players last season. Quality players such as Fleck, Moussa, Clarke, Adams, as well as McG, Bailey, Jennings. Thorn did waste a lot of our resources on players like Edj, Malaga, Ball, Kilbane, Elliott and so on.
B) Robins went to a team a league above, on x4 his salary, that imo, is more influential in his decision making than our plight, because he would've been aware of our situation (and potential to get worse) when signing for us in the 1st place.

Also, the idea that our season was ruined after our start (August/September) has no credibility, because we were higher than Bourbemouth before Howe took over there, yet they were Champions until Donny scored a last gasp winner, I wouldn't say their team was much better than ours and it must be noted that we didn't string together more than 2 straight wins, we've done that already haven't we?

Robins did a satisfactory job, and in hindsight, it's all panning out better for us now he's gone (on the playing side of things). MR compared to SP was a spoilt, who got what he wanted, and SP barely got what he needed (he reckoned we need 5-7 players, we got 2 1st teamers and a kid) and SP is performing admirably.

Good luck to the lad. Showed some promise early but never really progressed. Sort of player who probably suffered from a lack of a proper Reserve league to make the step up to senior football. If he can get games, he could grow into a decent lower-league player, but I'll be surprised if plays above L1. Not the usual Posh signing, mind-they normally go for the diamond in the non-league rough.

Liam Davis was a player who I rated though-he was just incredibly injury pone & badly mis-managed here. I'll never forget a couple of his rampaging runs he went on down the left for us.
