Seems to be the unsung hero of Lampard’s push to the play offs.
Always liked him as a player. Best first touch of any Cov player I remember watching, and I like the way he battled to get his shirt back last season, and some of his performances in that run-in were outstanding. The link up play at home on the left with Rudoni, Grimes, Wright etc. Scintillating at times.

I wonder if he can be looked at in more advanced roles when needed. AMC / AML etc. As cover mind you, alongside him pushing for the LB role next season.
Presuming the Spanish lad will be the first choice LB.

Dasilva has quick feet and is a fine passer and has enough pace to play there (even if he isn’t a fast LWB). Would like to keep him involved, and seems like a great guy too.

That well trodden bath of successfully converting a left back to Attacking midfielder you mean ??

Yes he had some good games at the end of the season. But he should have been doing that all along. They were solid performances not outstanding (nothing wrong with that).

Bur earlier in this season and last he has been very poor.

I was really pleased when we signed him. Then really disappointed. He hasn't won me over because of 5 or 6 games.

But next season is a blank canvas, as it is for all the players.

Nail on the head. He had a good 2 months of this season, but that's 2 months out of 2 years. Like you, that's not enough to win me over.

We need better than him and Bidwell if we are going to progress.

The annoyance at Dasilva playing alright really amuses me. For that alone I hope he stays.

Unsung hero??? Bit farfetched
He didn’t make a huge fuck up like he normally would doesn’t make him an unsung hero, he did a reasonable job, not world beating

Let’s not forget he cost us at Luton and a goal at Hull due to inexplicable defending, beaten by balls over the top yet again.

On the whole, he has improved under Lampard but still isn’t the answer if we want to continue pushing at the top end.

Well we may have signed Brau to provide an alternative or even as a replacement but we're not going to know for sure till pre season gets well under way.
