Right a thread to see what is needed to at least stay in the play offs by the end of the season.

I think we need an experienced keeper like Joe Murphy...

Central defender to replace Reda on perm contract.

Something a bit different up front other than Armstrong.

Something is missing from our play whenever Fleck is missing. We don't have any proper cover there. Bigi isn't the answer.

Think Fortune and Connor should be released or moved on.

A realistic striker target would be Gary Martin. He was at Boro when Mowbray was there but got released. Fantastic goal scoring record at youth level but never made the adjustment to men's football as quick as professional clubs want.

He's now playing in the Icelandic first division and has scored 53 goals in 99 games over there.

On trial at Chesterfield last year so possibly available for free

Any money we have should be put to get a CB . We could all see when Turner went off the team got shaky at the back, the same as when we lost reda, this is a vital position , even more so than striker.

Experienced goalkeeper and replacement for Reda/Turner are the priorities, then sorting out the loan situation and bringing in replacements as necessary.

We need a solid GK, a big bad CB, and a big striker. Get Rose and Bigi in permanently.

Team needs some beefing up.

Get rid of Burge, Philips, C Thomas, Fortune, Cole.

We can't get rid of anybody unless they are replaced and that costs. Priority for me has to be goals or lack of them, we enjoy plenty of possession and dominance to not enough goals. Ryan Kent, loads of skill, pace to burn but where is the end product ? how many goals has he got, how many chances had he set up ? answer not a lot again yesterday could have set up a simple chance but got greedy. Adam Armstrong was never going to go on and on scoring desperately needs a strike partner to take weight off him, Jacob Murphy my favourite of the three but again needs another outlet to get the best out of him. All teams have a wobble looks like we are in ours but last August I would have gladly accepted where we are at the moment
