It’s reasonable to think we’ll get 1 or 2 signings in, by all accounts we were chasing a CM and a CB (even that RB too) up until deadline day.

I also don’t think Lampard would’ve took the job if there wasn’t no scope to invest in Jan/next summer either. He knows this job will remake or break his credibility as a manager.

I think it's a wait and see scenario. I find it difficult to believe that DK would've managed to convince FL to come in without giving some assurances regarding transfer budget and him being able to operate relatively freely within the realm of what's possible and realistic.

That being said, it's a rubbish window to recruit in so I don't expect any permanent additions to come in unless a real gem becomes available. I'd be very surprised if we didn't tap into the loan market though.

Even if our next window to challenge for the playoffs isn't until next year, you would hope that if the right player becomes available in January that we would authorise the spending now, if only to allow them to bed in properly for next season. The EMC signing may prove to be instructive in this case.

I think in January apart from maybe one, the rest will be determined on our outgoings.

Leftback for example, don’t really want three left backs on our books, so might want to move one on to enable one to come in. Same with centre back

Feel a CM would be on the books through the wages freed by Kasey Palmer. Luke Cundle seems a good shout logically speaking even on a loan.

Ideal world, LB, CM and CB in wouldn’t mind all as loans with minimal fees to pay outside of CB.

John Egan ( one and a half year deal).

Ryan Giles (Loan from hull wouldn’t mind an option in the summer). After seeing how high up Bidwell was on Saturday seems to be not sure it’s still going to be a three at the back).

Luke Cundle (Loan from Wolves with again an option to buy or on a permanent if funds allow). Would be a good playmaker to have in the centre and allows us to have Rudoni cover the right wing if we wanted an additional option for tats.

Did well at Stoke at the end of the year for them if I’m not wrong?

Fair enough, cam role is hard to be honest to find someone to come in from when I’ve looked. Always get the old Lampard signing in on a free from Everton

Looks to be able to play a ten and eight. When looked online but happy to be proven wrong and I think so based on Rudoni’s positioning for Saturday.

Could be wrong tho as still trying to work out positions

I mean this would be an amazing window but surely Holdings wages would be massive.

Giles could see but depending on if Ruben starts using him.

I would be looking at Tanganga, moving on or swapping Kitch plus cash for Tanganga. John Egan another great option

Centre midfield I would go for a enthusiastic choice Norwich City's Marcelino Nunez.
Another shout is Wolves centre mid Luke cundle, has played on loan for Swansea, Plymouth and Stoke, still only 22.

My priority is a new centre back, I would look to move Kitching and DaSilva on, we might be lucky to raise £4 million quid moving those 2 on.

I would then use Binks as a left back when we need to.

Bidwell- 1 year extension new contract
Tavares - low wages, 1 year extension, good backup
Sheaf has 18 months left on his contract, we must make this a priority, off him a 1 year extension if he rejects, we sell him immediately, we will recoup £15 million or just under for him.
Simms- keep Simms for now.

£4m for Kitching and Dasilva is never happening.

He broke into the side almost immediately from the end of August, I think he only didn't start for maybe 3/4 games in the first half of the season, most of which was in one 3 game chunk.

He didn't stand out until the new year though.

This certainly shows Rudoni averaging a very forward position but can't recall him been that far forward consistently. Suggests he probably covered a lot of ground. Lati a lot further back than other defenders too

Think he covered the third most ground behind Milan and Ben sheaf I think but could be wrong and would need to double check.

Think Lati was covering Thomas alot more considering Thomas likes to go up a lot more (second most tackles for us behind sheaf).

Must have misremembered, I thought he'd barely played after that beating by Bristol City

Who on earth is going to come in for Kitching and Dasilva. The most likely outgoings for me would have to be Wright, Simms or Sheaf. Not because we want rid, just our most saleable assets. If we’re looking to free up cash to reinvest it’s going to be a slow window. The focus has to be on defence.

I mean depends on our offer but a loan offer for either might be tempting for a couple of league one sides if it’s on good terms considering Dasilva has been involved this year and Kitching was a good league one cb before

He’s a CM (8) who played for Stoke, Plymouth and Swansea on loan and is currently at Wolves of whom loaned him out to those 3 clubs, a good player basically

I back Kitching to work his way back into the side. He's definitely a Championship standard CB.

But not somebody who is just a number 10. It's too limited. They would need to able to do the job of an 8 as well, just with the ability to carry the ball.

I don't get why we want Giles. Didn't Robins say he had great attributes but not a footballers brain. Luton moved him on quickly and he can't get in Hulls starting 11. So if 2 sides beneath us in the league don't rate him why on earth would we want him

He was all over the place in the cup admittedly. But did ok after that. Robins hooked him in that league game because he hadn't declared an injury and wasn't fully fit. Robins said at the time he needed to learn from that as you need to be fully fit at this level.

Doyle was superb and very versatile for us playing on the left and the right of the three and covered in the centre when McFadz was injured.

The cup and that one league game early on where really his only poor performances.
