Sheaf minimum of 6 weeks out. Scan done today

We HAVE to get a midfielder in or we are in real trouble

Eccles Torp Allen as the CM options for the next 10 games

Oh my god - surely we won’t repeat the mistakes from the summer

I dunno. I think the argument there’s three worse teams is reasonable. Just worry we get this window wrong and things could go very wrong very quickly.

Don’t think they’ll be much happening this window, it’s the summer that worries me, kings more worried about selling players for profit than putting a top 6 team together no matter what he says, would love to know what lampards been promised, there’s no way he’d of come here without getting some money to spend ? And that’s got be the reason he’s brought Lampard in to attract players maybe robins couldn’t ?

We needed a CM anyway, I'd be tempted to get 2 if the right options come up. Sheaf cannot be relied on and should be moved on in the summer.

Why are we pretending Rudoni doesn’t play CM BTW?

I actually don’t think a three of Eccles, Rudoni, Torp/Allen is much worse than what we’ve had. Sheaf has been crap most of the season.

Still think we need a dynamic number 8 tho.

I'm not sure what worried about selling for a profit is based on tbf. We didn't move on anyone we wouldn't have wanted to have moved on last summer and the manager was given a decent amount of money to spend on top of that.

It’ll be a big risk for anyone signing sheaf, especially for the price that we think we’ll get for him, misses a lot of games

I know, I don't think he'll fetch even half the price he would have last summer. I think if we can get a few million, whatever the exact amount, will be more useful to us than him.

It's another cognitive dissonance classic from SBT

And look what we did with it, it’s ok selling your best players, we always have and always will but we’ve replaced them with crap, and we won’t get players like hamer and gykores again, not with this recruitment team, and I doubt king will let them have much to spend anyway, based on this squad I wouldn’t, surely Austin’s on his final warning, sackable what’s happened

I think really, despite the fact the recruitment could have been better, we have still landed on a few players that if we really wanted to, we could sell and have another go.
The bones of a good squad is there, but I do think the next batch of 4-5 permanent signings will be quite important.
I've said before I just want this season over, I'm just a bit over it already.

Eccles?

Eccles Torp Rudoni is fine as a midfield. We do need more depth but it's not "the worst midfield in the league by a distance" as one overexcited poster called it.

spot on with the last bit, still couldn’t see why with that squad but believed all the hype we’d be good enough, proper reality check , just worries me that the last few signings have been poor ones from, Barnsley, pboro and Huddersfield, scraping around league 1

OK and the backup for that when Torp gets knackered every game?

Rudoni wasn’t exactly pulling up trees in CM earlier in the season was he

Considering this promotes Allen up the pecking order I can understand the reactions but if this prompts us to buy a quality central midfielder it may be a blessing.

Looking like Sheaf value is plummeting every minute looking towards the summer.

Obviously depth at only having Allen and Lati to rotate would be an issue but would this be the worst midfield three. Eccles is often seen as similar defensively to Sheaf and has shown to be able to play the aggressive 6 role before (Leeds).

What happened to one ready to go as soon as the window opened? Was that actually an ITK or not, can't remember now.
