Exactly the promise is we will get you to a higher level with or without us, sadly it looks for Milan and Wright it’s without us

We peaked at the play off final and sold 2 big stars in Gus and Vik.

nearly 2 seasons on we’ve not got back into the play offs and the next churn of players is happening.

By summer the following are unlikely to be here we can sell for decent money:

MVE
Sheaf
Wright
Simms

Then we have lots of out of contract or rubbish that needs moving on:

Collins
Wilson
Lati
Kitching
JDS
Bidwell
Allen
Tavares
BTA

Lampard has a big turnover to manage to shape a squad he can work with over the next few seasons to get us to the play offs again.

I think that was to be expected with the play offs three times out of five (including this apparently included the Gyok year). Two rebuilds and three attempts at it.

I was watching him closely in the warm up yesterday and I am not exaggerating, the average Sunday league player has better technique. Pound for pound one of our worst ever signings.

If we manage to bring in 40 million for Wright, Sheaf and MVE then we're exactly where we were a year and a half ago and we have another golden opportunity to make a decent go of promotion.

Wright only needs replacing with a decent prospect as EMC is starting to look the business and we can take our time with that.

Obviously Sheaf and MVE need replacing immediately.

Really don’t understand these theories. If we got £40m we’ve still got to buy a first choice cf, rb and mf. Probably using most of the £40m. Nothing gained.

It’s us. He’s not been given a chance to shine here. No consecutive starts in the league since September is a joke.

Woolfenden was mentioned on here, good player plus Ipswich has just agreed a deal for Godfrey so could be something in it?.

Holding would be a cracking signing and so would Sorba, Choudhury as a DM on loan could be a good shout with experience in this league.

The Sheaf stuff is bollocks

The players aren't back in until Tuesday, so no one will know, not even Sheaf how long he's out for

Listened for a short while to BBC Suffolk after their game today. Mick Mills was surprised that their first signing in the window was to be a CH but felt that if that was the choice of the manager then it was hard to argue against. Woolfenden had played in the last few games but has been mainly on the bench after they brought in O Shea and Greaves. I suspect he would be the one to leave if they were to let one go, so not beyond the realm of possibility but given he is an Ipswich boy I can’t imagine him leaving easily

What’s worrying is the signs our best players want out rather than us wanting to sell and rebuild. Sheaf and MvE have already switched off while they wait for a move, having Wright checked out as well is seriously worrying. Clearly some of them were getting itchy feet under Robins as King said it was a reason for sacking him. The appointment of Lampard seems to have done nothing to reverse this in face value.

TBH I’d sell if he’s not committed, we’ve got EMC and can bring in a proper number 9 it’s probably worth it. You aren’t going to raise rebuilding money selling Lats and Collins.
