Had this very conversation today. Asking the question of Robins coming in for any of our players. Not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised. I think Lati has been scouted on international duty.

MLS would be a good fit, they are not shy of spending nowadays so we should get a decent fee and he'll get a decent wage. Lifestyle and a chance to look decent as I think the pace will suit him more out there. Wonder if he's linking up with Lawrence?

Rumour we’re looking at Luke Woolfenden from Ipswich

Frank Lampard is reportedly keen to include Rob Holding in his Coventry City squad this summer. Holding, 29, became a part of the Eagles in 2023 after a seven-year tenure with Arsenal. Currently, he finds himself on the sidelines at Crystal Palace following a disagreement with manager Oliver Glasner and is participating with the youth team. Despite his £4 million transfer, the defender has yet to make a Premier League appearance for the club and was even excluded from the team's photo. Lampard is attempting to convince the player to move to the Championship on a loan deal.

Always a possibility. I agree about the pace suiting him better.

Interesting to see who wants Lati? I would definitely cash in, the championship is too quick for him unfortunately.

Considering his promise as a youth player his career has never really got going. Today showed the fundamental flaw for him is his lack of athletic ability. Shame as he can read the game fine.

Wonder if he'll end up in Scotland?

Or could Robins want to put the band back together?

sticking my neck out and saying he’ll go to a Champ club for £1m+

250k for Lati
500k for Binks
500k for Kitching
250k for Dasilva
100k for Collins
100k for Tavares

Just under 2 million for mid table League 1 talent.

I think we would be able to maybe get £2.5 million for the lot if we are lucky.

But it's £50 grand a week off the wage bill which is vital.

I know we’re not their biggest fans at the moment, but those values are insane. They are worth more than that.

Often thought he is a good player but he’s from Ipswich and on the fringe of their team in the Premier league. would be a huge move for him to leave them .

So we want to include him in our squad this summer but want to loan him? I’m confused, is he out of contract this summer?

If Sheaf is out for a few weeks as some have suggested another CM has to be priority #1 before the Bristol game.

Chelsea currently negotiating a £10m+ deal for Casadei with Torino so definitely not him

So rumours then are currently:

A RB
Rob Holding (loan (to buy?))
A CM
A Winger (abroad).

Absolutely need a proper right full back who can defend.
Lati an accident waiting to happen there, as he is everywhere. MVE often not up to it exposing the likes of Thomas out wide.

We clearly need reinforcements, predominantly at CM (even more so now Sheaf is out) and at RB (especially if MVE is off), but I’m reluctant on any loans unless there’s an opportunity to buy at the end.

I hate to say it, but any chances of plays off are pretty limited based on our position, points, form and the way we are playing. I also don’t think we’ll go down.

Therefore, a six month loan for someone to just return to their club at the end doesn’t massively benefit us. I’d prefer Frank to play our own players and get a tune from those we know can perform / get a proper look at a few with next season in mind or loans who we could have an option on in the summer / Frank wants a closer look at as there is potential to make them perm.

What is the point of Holding on loan now.

Obviously implemented a transfer policy which discourages loans so what would be the point in bringing one in now when the season is already over and wasting 6 months wages wages.

Only way this makes sense is if King is seriously worried about relegation

Holding is probably a higher standard than us but he has barely played the last 2 years so is going to be miles off match fit. If he does come in if will take time for him to get up to speed and we might only have 10-12 games left by then. Seems an odd one unless it's a loan to buy?

We’d be better off snapping up one of these premier league loans that play for their club loads. Loads of them knocking about.

Ideals loans for the window

Rob Holding/Michael Keane
Harvey Vale
Josh Acheampong
Philip Billing

I don’t think it’s the time for permanent signings but perhaps Prem clubs might want to save a little on wages they are paying out for no reason. Obviously we wouldn’t be able to cover some of the bigger names but could definitely offer a reasonable contribution of perhaps up to £20k a week max

I really don’t see the point in shelling out nearly half a million on an old geezer who will try and lift us from 15th to 11th and then bugger off again in the summer.

Michael Keane is 31, his partner is Marcus Hall’s daughter who lives in Cov so it makes sense and with Lampard having Everton links and previously managing him it would make sense.

Rob Holding is 29, Philip Billing is 28 so which one of them is old???

Plus we need to sort the leaky defence otherwise we are well and truly in a relegation scrap. We need a leader and ideally I’d say that would be Michael Keane who has some affiliation with the city and also with Lampard

We would be mad to sell Wright now. Everyone has a price but I’d genuinely add another ten million to his just because it’s January and I already see it at 20-25 Million
