1) seems WBA and Southampton finished the paper work for Armstrong’s loan on time but have to wait until this morning to see if EFL will process it.
2) Turkish and Dutch windows not until next week so can still brace for MvE exit possibility.

Barring an exceptional bid MVE goes nowhere till the summer.

Successful window. Kept the main squad together and added Grimes.

Pato likely to come in and then we have EMC, Wright and Sheaf to come back.

Exciting finish to the season.

Haha... remember you saying that about Sheffield United!!
Obviously the other half/in laws are ST holders and my mate works for them!...
Their keeper was the best in the division - he'll be a loss, but the lad they are re-calling from Bristol City is very highly rated..
They are dynamic down the flanks with Johnson (remember him tearing MVE a new one last year!?) and Fellows (Everton bid 15 m but turned down)
They have just paid 3m today for a young #10 from Scandinavia - got a feeling him and Armstrong will cause some damage....
Sadly, a good window for them in the end!!
I'd never fawn over a horrible team like Sheffield United like some of the clowns on here. I assumed the penniless prince would sell Hamer and Ahmedhodzic tbf but that didn't happen. Wilder and his gang of loans have done well righting the sinking ship in honesty but they aren't unbeatable and I'd love a pop at them in the play offs.
On West Brom, its a team you worry about too much due to family rivalries i think. They are a play off contender of course, perhaps more so with Armstrong but all them and Blackburn being 5th and 6th does is make me wish we'd had Lampard in all season, as we'd be occupying that best of the rest spot comfortably at worst.
Going beyond this season their fans are going to have to slowly come to terms with the fact they are now very much a Championship team. Corberan was an exceptional manager and anyone wanting him gone was a moron.
From the outside they also appear to be struggling financially and really Fellows is the only particularly saleable asset they have if they wanted to raise funds so there is a decision to make there. Also looks like Diangana will leave on free, which is nice because I'm tired of the fucker scoring against us.

So yes they could get top 6 but it would be a waste as they get comfortably dispatched. My feeling is Middlesbrough get 5th and we're fighting the likes of these for 6th. If we can't get ahead of them even with the head start we gave, then we don't deserve it.

Armstrong is such a weird player, gets goals at this level but totally ineffective when stepping up. I know its a big step but even the likes of Adebayo and Carlton Morris showed more than Armstrong, you'd think he'd at least get a few but clearly not.
Southampton using this loan to get him up to Championship speed again to try and repeat the cycle next season. Yawn.

Its just boring, the parachute payments give these teams such an advantage, you want someone else to break through and actually have a go. I think we'd be more entertaining than most of them! Honestly i'd be backing Sunderland (aside from us) if they weren't, well, Sunderland.

As well as Thorn being seen as a potential future England manager, at one point Armstrong was touted as a future star striker on here.

Not sure what your point is here? The occasional parachute team fuck it, which is exactly what the league needs, but its still a huge advantage. If you don't think Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton will all be top 6 next season make the prediction here and we'll come back to it. I'm calling it already.

I would expect them to be but people were saying that of Luton. This league and League One has many teams who have been in the Prem more recently than us and benefitted from parachute payments. Plenty fuck it up.

As we know new signings don't always hit the ground running. Accommodating them can also mess form up.

Another good transfer window. No panic loans on big wages, I think we maybe would have taken that gamble were we 10 points better off, but the sensible move this window was to focus on Grimes in on a permanent, further develops the squad with half an eye on next season and Sheafs potential departure. We also allow our own players to continue to develop, didn't appear to be working but now we look in great shape for the run in. PUSB

Hope so, as i say, it takes one to fuck it for another team to even get their foot in the door. They'd have to completely fuck it though. I think they've recruited well for a return to the Championship. I'd pick Southampton to get it wrong if anyone.

Silly question saw on sky sports regarding William to Fulham that there is a free agent registration window which ends this week?

Is this the case and if so is it a PL thing?

I think Luton are a special case, because they invested so heavily in infrastructure rather than the playing side. The top players they brought it to strengthen, they then sold once relegated. I would say this is a weaker side than the one that was promoted 2 years ago. It would appear a really sustainable way of doing things, if it didn't look like they might be relegated twice on the bounce.

One that I would've been interested in, is Ryan Giles on loan.
He seems to have moved around a lot the last few years but thought the season he was with us, and the season following he looked unplayable at times.
