Hmm, looking at another way their owners are selling all of the family silver and replacing it with loans or freebies.

It's difficult to sustain that level of output though isn't it? Feels like they're staking a lot on promotion this season.

Weird move that in my opinion!

Probably the best keeper in the league - but will be back in the same division next year!

If that’s our business for the window concluded, what would you rate it out of 10?

Good signing that we probably needed. Not gone too mental on the off chance of playoffs. No one major gone. Sign a RB and it’s a 9.

I’d rather sign a winger this window, it would keep the squad fresher if we can replace both wingers and the striker in games. Lati playing RB if required wouldn’t be a disaster and think that would make do until the end of the season. It is a position of need for the summer though.

As you say, a CM was the position we needed to upgrade on and we’ve gone and smashed out of the park. 8/10, we’ve been responsible, given ourselves a reasonable chance of pushing on playoffs and we’re in a position to build on that in the summer.

I think if Rapha comes good he could fill in. Though he seems to be yet another left sided forward.

The narrative from the club is that he’s got talent which is promising. It’s Robins and Lampard’s teams that have both said it.

If he gets more minutes and looks the part, perhaps he could fill that need too!

I think our ITK’s are pretty reliable normally, not perfect, but often directionally right.

Today however is a day when things happen that were not planned across many clubs. Clubs get desperate, players change their minds, unexpected deals become possible.

Just because we didn’t expect to do business on Saturday doesn’t mean we won’t end up doing business today.

As is standard with our fanbase I'm sure there'll be a melt down, by some, soon with Boro and Sunderland linked with everyone under the sun. We're close to the play offs but they're by no means the aim for this season, after our start and midseason turmoil. Chucking millions at players on loan in this window could really hurt our summer movements, so happy to stick with what we have.

Overall I'm happy to give us a 7 for the window, very easy to over pay for mediocre talents. The Grimes signing allows Eccles to be cover on the right hand side but we need a really deputy there in the summer.

Yes, but unless WBA have had to get some money in to be able to do other businesses, just a weird move for him.
Obviously he'll be in more money, but will be back in the Championship next year.

Andy Turner expects it to be a very quiet day with nothing in or out. Maybe Howley and Burroughs out on loan and that’s it

That might well be the clubs expectation too, but if Burnley offer £5m for Eccles or Chelsea suddenly offer us George on loan then things can change quickly.

I’m not saying they will just that they can.

I guess it's more difficult to say all done when you don't know who might ring up about a player. I am sure we will know where we are incoming wise but outgoing particularly loans may be more uncertain until much later in the day

Enjoyed his run forward on Saturday, if Bassette had released him earlier might even have got a goal. Was encouraging.
