Proven Championship striker. Baffled by why we’re so keen to get rid from a fans point of view. Hope he does start today and does well. The level of criticism he’s had is ridiculous

Agree on the criticism point. I just think his skillset has basically been matched by Bassette. If we’d signed Bassette first then BTA probably wouldn’t be here. As it is, it happened the other way round. I don’t dislike him; I just don’t see any need for him when the fee + wages could be better utilised in another position.

Flog BTA and we’re down to two available strikers - in a team that’s played two up top as much as we have this season, that’s far from optimal, and you then have no other choice but to play Tavares or move Wright from out wide.

Unless BTA is going to fetch a lot more money than I expect then selling him is not going to fund the rebuild of a squad that is already drafting in ex-MLS locals off the street to make up the numbers. I would say his value to us is best realised by having him do what we paid for and contribute to the squad.

If we’re playing 2 strikers then we won’t be playing with wide forwards as well, so the Wright point is moot. If one of the remaining two got injured then we flip to the box midfield for a game or two. It’s really not an issue.

I'm a football trader by profession and Germany is one of the areas I focus on. Have watched Neumann for the last 4+ seasons. Blues also signed Klarer from the same league for around a million quid iirc in the summer who has excelled. Frankly I'm amazed we don't try to do more business there considering fee/wage disparities on display.

He has been playing at RCB in a back three/four for Hannover since summer 2022. Played a fair bit at RB for Kiel before that, but much better at CB.

If you’re a football trader by profession how come you seem to know so little about City ?

Fantastic news about Bidwell. Our best lb and probably defender by a mile. Just need a capable understudy now.

"Fantastic news" that's out of desperation because we can't sign a decent left back.

He is a decent left back. This craving for new signings is ridiculous. It’s human nature that those outside the team are glamourised but we do have good players already. Bidwell is one of them.

Literally everything and anything. Majority of business is done on 1x2/goal lines/asian handicaps, but extends to everything else.

Someone needed to be sold this window if we wanted to pay for incomings

That was looking like Latibeaudiere as we would have made a small profit

However with both Stoke and Blackburn showing concrete interest in BTA and looking like we can recoup our cash, Latibeaudiere plays in more needed positions (CB,RB, CDM) Than BTA (ST)

Hence the decision that Latibeaudiere is more important to us than BTA

Hopefully any deal with Asante can be done quickly to allow us to spend some of that cash

Why’s BTA starting today if we’re trying to flog him

If it looks like we're trying to get rid the club has less of a leg to stand on to drive a hard bargain.

Simms is better than them all, 6ft3 and relatively mobile. He was putting BTA through on goal so many times today.
