A signing that isn’t a free has been or a young kid loan, that another team in the league would envy

Frustratingly there are plenty of players out there who are hidden gems that you’d likely be able to pick up at very achievable prices. It probably wouldn’t tick the box of other clubs envying the signing at the outset, but think along the lines of Hamer.

Adem Zorgane is one that sticks out over the last 2 years - I’m surprised he hasn’t got a move.

You mean like what Sunderland have just done ? Doesn’t even have to be permanent, just a loan but a player that gives you a bit of hope we’re trying to get somewhere

Context is very relevant with this one. Firstly Roma are in turmoil having been through 3 managers . The player played under the Sunderland manager at L'Orient and undoubtedly will be commanding very large wages for this league. I get what your saying but there are only the likes of the top 3 likely to land a player of this type .

Exactly . It's only the development route that is financially practical for the majority

But you know what I mean, just a player who gives us a bit of hope we’re trying to do something, surely Lampard could get at least one big name in

I’d argue MvE was that sort of signing. Fells a long way away now though.

Yeah but the loan back took some of the specialness off that TBH.

PES 5 was class my favourite one of the lot, remember how unstoppable Henry was and Inter's Adriano was, also remember that speed demon that played for Inter Obafemi Martins

Lucio was wild at CB on here to.

Adriano had a literally unstoppable shot.

Podolski was the same after a few seasons development, loved the graphs that tracked players improvement too

It had a more fluid feel to it then Fifa, playing a possession based style suited PES then fifa plus if you had Henry, Adriano or Martins then you could run from one end to the other and score

PES 3 was the one for me - haven't played a footy console game that's better since either

One of the things I liked about PES 5 was you could design your own kit, even down to the colour of the players name and number on his shirt... Fifa still hasnt put that on any of its games

Didn't Lampard confirm Patterson just training with us but looking for a club elsewhere? I was only 1\2 paying attention to the radio.

That's right he confirmed JP was training with us. If after a few weeks Frank thinks he is an upgrade on what we have, then I am sure he will be signed. At that point, with Lampard making that first hand assessment on his ability, I would support the signing.

Lati to Burnley off

Frank would rather lose BTA than Lati. Understandable

It’s concerning that either one or the other has to leave? I don’t really understand that unless Doug has told him he’s only allowed a certain amount of signings regardless who goes

It's not concerning at all. The manager has recognised he can get his money back on a poor signing and use it better elsewhere. Genuinely not sure what's to find concerning about that.

Where has it been actually said that either one or the other has to leave ? Getting rid of BTA makes complete sense .

Why would he not take the profit on Lati then if we can get more money back on a poor signing. Why not get rid of both?
