Can’t see him leaving now, just seems too late for the club to get and get a RB to replace. Could be wrong but think it’ll be a summer job.

Burroughs is surely the contingency plan

Do you not trust Lampard et al judgment? After watching him for a week?

Yeah it’s not inspiring, but low cost, low risk, likely till season end? Makes sense in many ways (and it’s some experience which everyone has been banging on for?)

Cant surely play Burroughs there? I get as the back up but not starting week in and week out?

Would rather play with wingbacks and throw tats or Eccles there

The Everton and Fulham Milan interest is real

Paterson should be announced today. Rak Sakyi closer than it was at the start of the week

Expect a contract announcement soon regarding one of the ones we weren't going to extend and let expire, but now we are potless we have no choice

If it is Bidwell or Wilson I don't think that's a bad thing perse.

He couldn't get a game in the SPL. We'd have to replace MVE if he left, anything else would be a disaster.

Extending Bidwell based on his form last season and this season seems a no brainer to me. Assuming it's a year with an option, feels like good news.

Allen the contract renewal?? Probably played more times under Frank already than anyone would've expected due to injuries/lack of options.

This is a bit of a myth. He only signed with a few months left of the season, I would guess he never really got up to fitness while he was there.

It’s not a myth it’s a fact, he didn’t get a game there.

so if he didn’t get up to fitness there, what’s to suggest he’s up to fitness for us?

Allen is the only midfielder that can press effectively at the minute, we miss his running. If you could morph him an Torp into one player we would probably be alright in midfield..

He signed with 9 games left of the season and played in 4 of them?

Presumably that is what they've been finding out while he trains with us.

Loans and frees, standard January for most Championship clubs. Unless we sell BTA and Lati then we'll also see us buy I'm sure. I'm alright with it, not on board with the dramatics atm.
As for MvE, hoping that's a summer thing but if we sell for around 3x what we paid and reinvest it all, isn't that the model that everyone was babbling on about, in fact, working?

He played less than 20 minutes in all of them.

more like us signing Maguire. It’s a terrible signing

Honestly Cam if we were linked with him at the start of the window would you have been happy ?
Like I've said on another thread , we would be mocking another club for signing him , it's a really underwhelming signing

It depends what we do elsewhere.

If we bring in Rak Sakyi as well I'm happy with it, Paterson will just be a depth option.

If he's our only signing it's disappointing yes. But not worth throwing our toys out the pram at this stage.

I’d like a marquee left back in and then Batwani as back up if possible to be honest for next year

To be fair SBT, I'm not that fussed. Bored of the lack of news more then anything and fed up seeing irrelevant opinions as update notifications. I figured if you cant beat them, highlight the nonsense.

Not throwing my toys just stating an opinion . I like the Sakyi signing if it's permanent.
Still think we need more depth defensively

You can see why so much business gets done in the last few days off the window ….. clubs / agents all hanging out for more money for most of the window, managers / fans getting impatient, one side concedes and the dominos start to fall but you run the risk that you are left high and dry at the end.

I don’t blame the club for wanting to maximise the value of Lati / BTA but at some point you have to be pragmatic and enable your new manager to start to secure his targets. I think this is particularly the case with us where a very popular manager has been replaced by someone many would not have initially chosen .

If we are planning to play him centrally it looks like a reaction to the Sheaf injury as much as anything else. I'll judge our business at the end of the window.

Are you taking about Paterson or Rak Saki ?

I could see the latter as a CDM but never Paterson.
