Wright will be back soon, Dovin will go back in the net, we'll probably invest in 1 or 2 in Jan. We'll be fine and already looking a bit more coherent imo.
Concerned at the likes of BTA, not sure where he fits in and wasn't cheap.

Give Dovin a go, we are not going to buy another keeper unless one leaves.

And a ST. And maybe a RW.

Our centre backs are simply incapable of concentrating. Angers so much how shocking the recruitment in that part of the pitch has been. Sheaf and Eccles were both absolutely shite tonight as well. You probably get that performance from Eccles 3 times out of 4.

I really struggle to understand what style of play or tactical approach we have recruited for. The squad looks awfully composed to me. Too slow to play on the break, wingers aren’t fast enough for us to play down the wings, we’re not good enough on the ball to play possession, we’re not good enough at pressing to try and win the ball high up, we’re too leaky at the back to play compact. How Dean Austin is still in a job is incredible.

A fair summary. All this has been known for about three transfer windows. The recruitment has been shocking. Need to start getting a few character checks done. Not one backbone between them.

Let's not talk about any more signings under this recruitment team, why do we seriously believe that they will suddenly deliver something good.

We just do not move the ball quickly enough, we need to get those wingers one on one but it takes us 10 passes to get the ball to them. I've been a fan of Eccles but I'm now starting to conclude that he's too limited with the ball.

We’ve simply got to find a defender or two. Unfortunately that might require moving a couple of defenders on - which will be difficult if anyone has watched us.

Scrap the whole defence and start again. Clearly we can’t but Bidwell aside you can’t count on any of these at the back.

Id go get Tyler Morton or find a more athletic CM with bundles of energy. And someone who is happy to protect the back 4, we are screaming out for a true no 6.

What we’re screaming for is dynamism to advance the ball at more than a snail’s pace

I can not believe we’ve paid millions for Asante, that money could have been used for CM or CB, how can the recruitment team not see how poor we are in those areas yet we all can

It isn't the fault of the recruitment team. It's the managers fault. Read that fact on here several times.

Eccles isn't good enough been saying it for ages, flashes here and there but no where near good enough and now sheaf is constantly playing sub par...defence, well don't even know where to start and asante just looks poor. Lampard has a right job on his hands. Basette, great player but needs a long run in the reserves to start banging goals in, constantly needs to many touches when he should let fly with a shot, got the key requirements to be a great player though.

Get on the phone to Hull...

You know that lad you wanted, that we nicked from under your nose... well we've been feeling guilty about it and, as it's Christmas, we would like you to buy him off us for the same price.

I'm sure they will snap our hands off!

What other option do we actually have though?

The alternative is to do nothing at all which will certainly see us continue to ship goals at a shocking rate.

I'd personally go with playing the centre back pairing you spent £6m on 18 months ago for a run of games first

I feel like we’re only a couple of signings away from having a very competitive team. Just feel like the balance is slightly wrong in terms of type of player / experience.

Would like to see an experienced centre mid come in personally, as a minimum. Would love a RWB / RB to compete with MVE who does something great followed by something shit this season. Blokes tired.

If we don’t sign a Center back at the minimum things could quickly start to turn very grim

I'm not entirely sure thrusting an out of favour Kitching into the side is the miraulous answer to our issues to be honest.

He's also not good enough.

Surely the style of play or tactical approach we recruited for was whatever Mark Robins wanted. That recruitment is null and void now as Mark Robins is no longer the man in the dugout. Frank has inherited a squad that whilst i think everyone will agree has some good players will not be the squad Frank ideally wants. It will take 2 or 3 transfer windows for the squad to reflect how Frank wants it to be.

And then after 18 months we’ll realise it’s not working and start again.

The January window is not going to solve our problems.

We will be lucky to get two players in and they will probably be just loans.

It's batten down the hatches and see out this season and hopefully we can stay in the league.

I know it's depressing isn't it after all the high hopes from last season.

If we’re banning of Lampard getting a new team we’re fucked. It’s been clear all along he’s expected to get the best out of this squad.

Correct. A player who has got better by not playing. People forget how bad he can be.

hamer was so good at progressing it quickly and honestly just taking a calculated risk. Torps the only one who might actually have the capability to do that but they’re all so risk averse they just piss about with it sideways and backwards until one of them falls asleep in the ball and gifts it to the opposition

I haven’t seen us play much since the new head coach arrived but the centre backs still have too much of the ball they are incapable of using it well but most of the teams we play are the same so why not go a bit more direct and et the opposition fuck up.

Transfer wise a dynamic midfielder is a must and probably another centre back if we can.
