So if Joel goes Burnley - 1/2 Million plus Worrall.

Then we look towards a CM with the additional funds raised by Joel, have we got any ideas who we’d want in. Would like Lewis but think he’d probably cost around 3 million so assume we’d have to sell Fabio to fund?

The same Worrall who’s been out injured since the second game of the season? That Worrall?

Returning because they are not getting minutes at their loan club. The loans are not working. Nothing more than that.

Exactly, maybe they'll be sent elsewhere, or assessed by FL before being let go at the end of the season.

We've had a poor success rate from our academy in recent years, that's something that Doug needs to look at.

He’s been on the bench for Burnley since the 6th of December. Back from his injury but just not fancied. Was a early target for us and seems a fair swap?

What about Alan Browne from Sunderland? Their midfield is looking very strong now and his game time will be limited. Currently injured (expected back end of month), someone we should have signed in the summer, wouldn't see the best of him until next season but if we can get a jump on the others and he can come and set standards, we may start to get more out of the current crop this year.

Look at Bristol City’s success rate through their academy by comparison. Lots to learn from that.

They’ve done well for sure but it was always an underperforming one, you’re 100 miles away from the nearest Prem club.

If Parker is moving Worrall on just 4 months after signing him it’s not a good sign unless it’s for personal reasons ….

I didn't really understand them getting him in in the first place. Always thought that they already had enough in that position.

Yes surprised they haven't reduced the catchment criteria, the body that manages such matters, lucky with that regional quirk.

I don't see the point of the Chelsea loan when the season is effectively dead.

Let's play our own players or try to sign permanent upgrades.

A Chelsea loan with an option to buy or extend is viable. Our own players have been tried to various extents and generally failed. Permanent upgrades in this window are very difficult to achieve

I think the injury hasn’t helped as he started a lot before his foot.

Might just be that since the injury they’ve signed more, can’t drop the players who’ve signed and are left with an imbalance.

Or he’s just got an experienced pro that isn’t overly happy with not playing so is willing to let him find a new club where he can play more regularly. No 28 year old should be happy sat on the bench, as mentioned above, strange move to start with

Well it isn’t dead as we still have to avoid getting into serious trouble and the players we have are more busy trying to jump ship than stop the rot. So if some of the chief piss takers can be moved on this month I think we should.

Can you imagine the melt down if we didn't get some reinforcements in and played our "own players", meaning the youth team.

I love the arrogance of our fans sometimes, claiming the season is dead because we won’t get near play offs. So you’re assuming we’ll just stay up by default then?
Have you seen the table?

I agree a loan with view to permanent is fine but the Chelsea loans will not be that.

We need a minimum of 7 wins to secure safety. Look at the fixtures, look at how we’re playing and tell me where they’re coming from.

Always difficult for reporters and ITKs imo as football changes so quickly that a fact can become bollocks in days
