Wikipedia has always been a questionable source, but I think anyone who has seen Allen play now can comfortably say 180cm is one of the most generous overestimates you will ever see.

Okay, I have seen Allen play now and know it isn't very accurate haha

Unsure why Allen's height matters unless we have tall ladies on here who are worried about the height differential on a potential date!!

Never really understood that until I went on a date with a taller woman. To keep it clean, as we have younger ones on here, later on that evening I needed a couple of phone books to reach (you older ones will remember the advert lol).

I used that response to a tall lady many years ago and got a slap across my face.

I tried that once too and she didn't seem happy, but didn't get her response. Went totally over my head.

It doesn't matter at all, just when he joined a few said he was 'tall' but to anyone who was at Rugby for the Liverpool u23s game it was very apparent he was tiny, more Joe Allen, Xavi esque stature than the 6 foot people were putting him at. Was just highlighting now that he is in the team as a mainstay, the original perception was wrong.

Robins has said there's a loan deal lined up for Jan 1st which is "ready to push the button on". Anyone think this could be Bright? Would make sense with Wolves set to recall him and send him somewhere else - we've already got that link.

If it is a striker I pray to god it's one with a bit of pace. Desperately need some speed up top to get in behind and chase Max's flick-ons.

I think it would be mate we have players in a similar mould at present like you say we need someone who can run in behind at pace

To be fair we could sign Usain Bolt and he wouldn't be quick enough to get on to two or three of the Bimaou flicks that Bakayoko was chastised for not getting on to on Saturday.

I just pray it's one who can stick the bloody ball in the net. We've tried quick, tricky, tall, strong. One thing we've not tried is someone who scores goals.

I'm still hopeful that Godden alongside Max can fill that role.

Don’t think he Be as effective as in the number 10 role that was suited perfect for him last season

Apart from playing for us last season and therefore some people hoping he is returning, have we had any (un) official comments - like his Twitter going sky blue!?
The lack of reports could be MR usual method of not confirming until signed (which is a good way of keeping targets just in our sights)...or that we aren't linked!
I agree with some of the earlier comments - think MR will want either a winger of goalscorer, though Bright would certainly add some goals.

I’d do everything we could to try and get Stockley, him and Godden with Max as an impact sub would be great. I think that would be a good base to build on if we managed to get promoted too.

Stockley would be a good signing he’s a right handful,we should of made that move in the Bayliss deal

I’m confused as to on what basis Stockley will be coming here? He’s started 2 out of Preston’s last 3 games - a team in the Championship play offs

So it won’t be a loan and we don’t have the money to finance the move not even close

I don’t think it’s likely but not out of this world. He’s been in and out of their team. Never set the world alight there 1 goal this season and 4 in 31 in total. Manager could be giving him some time now to prove himself, which he doesn’t seem to be doing, with the idea to move him on and bring someone else in that can push on January. Nobody in the Championship fighting relegation is likely to take someone that has no record of goals in that league so would be more likely to drop to league one. Saying all that thought I’m not sure he’s the type of striker MR likes.
