I wouldn’t class them as proven mate even bac then I wasn’t convinced although I thought Hunt was a good signing on the face of it.Yea I remember the January of 2016 when those former promotion winners came through the door, all proven players. They were Peter Ramage, Stephen Hunt and Darius Henderson.

In terms of a striker which is reported what we are after someone who has done it at league 1 or above level recently the 3 you mentioned were over the hill when we signed them.What does proven mean then? If it doesn't mean a player that has achieved promotion and generally played at a decent level.

Danny rose on a cheap, he's Mansfields top goalscorer and looked a tricky player when we played them, out of contract in the summer so would deffo have him if we can sell baka
