Loved how saka, emc and Wright somehow got there.

No idea how they appeared. Was getting crushed.

They hardly had to battle through rough terrain & dense foliage to get on the pitch

What I meant was other players were pushing him into the fans , hopefully that will give him a further boost in confidence

I can’t remember if I did on here but I said it to some friends after he signed. Obviously I have already reminded them of this.

Was pretty clear he was signed to have an impact using his quality and composed finishing, not to be playing every game. You don’t lose that ability.

Fair play to him, he did something nobody else seemed interested in doing and hit one first time instead of taking ten touches to sort it first. How many times tonight did we have a chance to have a first time shot that nobody had the courage to take on.

Was just thinking that, everybody else would have taken a touch and fucked about.

If you sing “one of our own” instead of “calls it a batch” then you should receive lower priority for Wembley tickets imo

He's looked good in his last couple of appearances. Great option to bring off the bench.

So how come they weren't all booked, like Casey Palmer v Wolves?

That’s the exact type of moment we have signed him for. Last 15 minutes when struggling to break a team down and everyone wants to take ten touches to get a shot off.

Paterson has just lived every cov kids dream.

The ref missed plenty that game, not surprised he’d miss that too!

I loved it that 6 or 7 Portsmouth players collapsed to the floor when that volley went in.

Surprised the ref didn't give them a free kick.

I looked immediately to see if he had any excuse but it was all clear, breathes sigh of relief.

I've heard he's from Wyken, around there. If the Devonshire Arms is still around (not sure from this side of the globe), but if he walks in there anytime soon, he'll be treated like a God.
