I've not a fan of his and it probably shows how piss poor midfield have been this season that the last two games he's shown them how it's done.

No arguments from me. He stays in the team

Hope the rumours of him going this window aren't true, even if Ben Sheaf wasn't out injured.

Really underrated squad member

Played well today as did all 3 midfielders imo

Glad lamps has given Eccles some time out. He needs to be better to stay on the team. Good lesson to learn

I think the midfield looked better than it had done for much of the season today

I noticed torp got stuck in a lot more. Getting used to English football perhaps

Was a period of very nice high Tempo one touch passing too

Such a good squad player at this level and was brilliant today.

It really annoys me how he’s almost seen as a joke figure by some sections of our fanbase

Torps defensive stats when he plays completely dwarf both Eccles and Sheafs.

he’s so underrated in that department

I like him. Never gives less than 100% every time he plays.
We miss that busyness when he isn't in the team, especially without O'Hare.
There are a few players who are giving Lampard something to think about in terms of what they offer.

Never understood the criticism of a player who has been a big part of our successes over the last 4-5 seasons.
He always puts in a shift and is technically very good and sees a pass early

Jamie Allen will always put in a shift and work hard. I know he has his limitations but that should not be under valued especially atm

Seemed to pop up with a goal or 2 a while back when we needed it though that might be my mind playing tricks

He is a good squad player, we would have to spend a lot fee/wages to replace him and there is no guarantee it would be an upgrade.

He may not be the most skilful or exciting player on our books, but you know he'll always put a shift in, and he's an experienced head in midfield, which is something we're desperately short of at the moment. Certainly a useful player to have around for the time being.

Did great in picking the ball on and moving it forward. Think there’s a case here for Allen to start over torp and Eccles.

Always seems we start the season fully intending to treat him as back up/move him on. Then he comes in to cover and after a few games becomes crucial and keeps his place on merit. Same can probably be said of Bidwell. His shirt to lose again now imo.
