One of the few players in the squad with prior experience of regular Championship football. Ideally you want someone better than him starting every week but hard to argue he looks out of his depth.
He only had 1 other season in the championship I think? Kane Bidwell waghorn have far more experience
OK I know he has his doubters on here , but does anybody still believe he's not worthy of being a squad player here .

I’m happy to progress to the top of the championship we need better but your negativity towards the contract extension was a little unfairnor do a couple of others on here by the look of it

I just don’t get it and certainly not when we did. There’s hardly likely to be a load of clubs chasing his signing
We’ve got Kelly stuck here next year on £8 grand a week. I can’t see us moving him on as it is.
A big challenge next season is to reduce the wage bill of non contributors which wont be that easy

He’s a squad player really. People have moaned about o hare and his goal contribution
Allen has 1 goal this season in 2,500 minutes and other than one season at burton his record is consistent

he’s hard working and can make easy passes but that’s it - worst of the midfield 4 for sure

You say this but vouch for Godden? Is Godden capable of being a top championship playerUndoubtedly has improved this season but if we want to progress we need better in my view. I guess ok as a squad player, but I am not convinced he is capable of being a top Championship player which is what we should be aspiring to at this stage. Having said that I respect that he has worked hard to get to a place where he has contributed positively to our displays recently.

So does his injury recordHis goals speak for themselves lads .. if there's one thing you can't take away from godden is his goal record at this level for us .. it's very good .

Last 3 years he’s played 40, 45 and 25. Hardly the 50% of the season missing like Godden has
