Just read the Bedfordshire on Sunday website it says" big spending Coventry" . Have I missed something?

Why? Is he worth any more than Beavon? I wouldn't think so.

1 goal in ever 3 as 1 in 5 for Beavon says he is. Grendal 87 in 286 if you want to take out last season isn't bad better than anyone we have and we need goal from somewhere next season

To be honest £250k is a shit tonne of money when you consider its just shy of a £5k per week for a free transfer player which would surely be up there with the highest salary in this league

Do you really think sisu would seriously consider spending a quarter of a million plus as well as wages to suit, I don't.

Weren't we strongly rumoured to spend a few hundred grand on Jones?

14 goal a season striker? Only 6 times from the last 20 seasons have we had some score more than that in a season.

It's a moot argument anyway. I highly doubt we'll play 2 up front, Robins has never done it at Cov as far as I recall

At the minute we "may" only have Beavon to play up top and that ain't enough.

We've plenty of gaps and goals to find and fill in this side/squad and a target man has to be a must for league two

We've got Kwame Thomas and McNulty haven't we? Throw Ponticelli in the mix and it's not like we have only Beavon.

Quite right... forgot about kwame.

McNulty's preferred role in a 4231 system is in the 10 not leading the line.

Yeah sure, he's played the role just ain't as effective it seems, plays better as a two in a 442 or as a 3 in behind a target/lone man.

I'm sure a Pompey fan said it too that he linked up well with a big man.

I read he also like to arrive late in the box, not one for creating his own goals and leading the line it seems

I remember reading somewhere that he scored the majority of his goals when playing with a big man tbf. I think Collins would be a good addition. Looks to have the physicality as well as a good bit of mobility.

His averaged nearly 1 in 3 in all his league two career and almost league one too. That's a career average of 15 a season.

In the last 11 years in 5 different seasons have we had 7 14+ goal scorers with 3 in one season
2 have been loans, 4 have been free transfers and one direct from our academy.

8 then, not 6. Still means more often than not, 14 goals would've been top scorer.

Wilson was immense that season. Can't see anyone beating 22 goals in a CCFC shirt for a while.

Shame he's injury prone, hope he can get over it. He's got a 1 in 3 record in the Prem.
