Doesn't matter what league you play in, if you can control the ball, keep it at your feet with pace, that'll do for me.

Plays on the right but looks left footed, can cover both wings, probably goes ahead of Yang

Which makes the Yang signing very puzzling.

Don’t think it is, we clearly want our wide players to cut inside.

Think we should play one side cutting in onto stronger foot and one side who goes on the outside for their stronger foot

For some perspective, Sakamoto was signed from a relegated Belgian team for £2m, having only scored 1 goal all season. Pretty sure that transfer was greeted with consternation initially when it was announced.

Signing an exciting attacking winger from the Swiss league who is amongst the best dribblers in Europe statistically is exciting. When Hamer was signed, he stood out statistically in a bad Zwolle team.

€5m is about £4m which is pretty normal for a transfer nowadays. Rudoni, KKH, Wolf, Grimes have all cost around that figure.

Tbh I know the quality of the Championship gets hyped a lot but theres still a shit load of clumsy cloggers. Players with proper pace and some skills can cause absolute mayhem.

He’s a very exciting player. Looks like there was an opportunity to get him now and we did. He’s in good company with those stats.

It will, and he would have been very young at that time; players develop at different rates and at different times.

Not making a splash at your first club is hardly a yardstick.

Look at Bassette’s stats before he came here, they were below average in Belgium and France. This chap has stood out in Switzerland, it’s not quite the same.

Honestly really, I think the powers to be have utterly forgotten the mandate and ambition that we are finally trying to escape this infernal league. In fact we’ve never had a better chance with our blistering first half of the season. But now alas, those eternal masters of fate have decided to interfere with that pipe dream and gift us with a plethora of flighty wingers whom can pepper balls into the penalty area that our strikers can rarely get on the end of.
Frank and Doug have gone bloody mad.

Yeah but I ordered bog roll, which I desperately need. A top hat, and a frisbee off Amazon. And the bog roll didn’t turn up first.

You’re judging a player you’ve never seen…

The club probably rate him higher if they’re willing to spend that sum on him after securing 2 wingers already.

Statistically, he’s a strong dribbler and crosser so there’s good attributes to work with.

Have they completely forgotten that old adage about the the spine of the team….
centre back, centre Mid, centre forward.
Fuck knows what our highly successful wingers Saka and EMC make of all these wonderful new challenges

So what we expecting? Floods of goals or a lot of two by two draws.
