Would like to see this one happen. Out of contract and bags of experience. Kitching would be nice but not sure Barnsley want to let go of their best defender unless it's for more than what we'd be willing to pay for him.

If we are paying what we are apparently paying for Binks, I wonder if Kitching would have been a cheaper option.

Those tweets were saying Binks is 2-3m euros!!

Kitching would probably cost the same as Barnsley won't let him go on the cheap. For 2-3m euros I'd rather Binks over Kitching. More experience at a higher level and younger.

Apart from a probable signing on fee Whatmough would be a proper free-be.

Add a lot of experience for games that Fadz would miss

We've a lot of very young players, Whatmough on a free is a no brainer. Still not old by any stretch either.

With Bink's already in, if we get Whatmough on a free, I'd be happy with the defence.

With Robins under the radar purchase of players who can play multiple positions I think we'd be fine.

In that case, with the last 2 signings being a loan and a free, we'd still have a good pot of money to buy another striker or two. Then save the rest of the loans for January when we might need to plug a gap.

Think we will definitely bring another in, the Whatmough club situation I’d think will generate a lot of interest though, classic case of watch this space.

Definitely feel this would be a decent signing. Bit more experienced, free transfer and another permanent player.
