Can probably file this one under typical January rumour, no itk knowledge simply sharing.

Looking at his record, 10 PL games this season and has worn the armband would suggest unlikely, but if they want him off wage bill and have alternatives lined up, then the new manager might want to freshen it and see no future for him. 2 red cards this season could have tested their patience.

30 yeas old, good experience, no idea on wages. Liked him when here on loan all those years back. Would certainly be interested.

Just read his contract up at the end of the season too and Saints definitely getting relegated.

He would be ideal in my opinion. Proper leadership qualities , experience at the top level and just what we need. Anyone playing alongside him would benefit greatly . Not sure that there would be much chance of him coming here but you never know
