upon further inspection, it's a bullshit twitter rumour created by a guy who has also linked us with Bradley Orr.

i may be wrong but i think there are 2 jack paynes
1 at southend
2 at orient on loan from peterborough
one is better than the other

Jack Payne at Southend is a very good player but he is heading Champ or Prem this summer.

Hang on ... did we want to buy Jack Payne from Southend, but have gone for Jack Payne from Peterborough instead?

Clerical error?

Reading up on him (the latter), he went to Orient in loan in September with a view to signing a permanent deal with them.

Not going to diss him, but this is a player that Peterborough feel is a League Two player and not good enough for League One.

Surely bullshit as stated.
