I haven't watched Coronation Street since about 1983/4? I just about remember who he was. I remember the very first episode though. Elsie Tanner and her son Dennis, Martha Longhurst, Minnie Caldwell, Ena Sharples et al. Them were the days!

Do you remember the playground rhyme:
"Elsie Tanner, finger, thumb,
this is the shape of Ena's bum"

(You had to describe a big circle in the air whilst reciting it)
