I’m old enough t remember the circumstances under which Rob Gurney stopped reporting on CCFC. Getting too close to the thing that you love and seeing its imperfections was too much for him.

I don’t doubt that @Saddlebrains or @GIMOC are die hard Cov fans who want the absolute best for the club but they come across on here so negatively.

I wonder whether they are experiencing a little of what Gurney did, albeit indirectly.

if so then give your contacts a swerve guys because honestly sometimes it’s better not to know and to enjoy the ride…. We haven’t had it so good for decades and I hope you can start to enjoy it.

our form since April has been shocking as have the performances

Fans have put the effort in. Another big crowd yesterday and performance was shocking

all the season tickets sold and lack of transfer activity will soon have a negative effort if the team continue to play poor

I don't agree we're stronger, we're stronger in certain areas, but that is a weak as piss midfield and ultimately, that's where games are won and lost and we've been over ran by Stoke, Bristol and Norwich 2nd half yestersay, 3 decidedly average teams.

this team is regressing whether it’s past 2 months, 6 months 12 months or 18 months. apart from a fa cup run which we had the luck of the draws we’ve regressed in the league

@GIMOC I’m not going to waste my time commenting on every point, but to give you an example we clearly have not had a lack of transfer activity. We have 7 ( seven ) new talented players on long term contracts. What we have done is failed to land our CDM target.

if you read your posts most things associated with the club you criticise except the fans, and offer very little positive comment. It’s almost the definition of having a negative outlook

how many players did we sell/release?

the players coming in have not shown anything yet to suggest they are a massive upgrade on the price tags spent hence why 9 of the 10 outfield players starting yesterday were here last season

how have I twisted anything? Where? Stating facts

I go home and away. Not anti CCFC but I think something needs calling out I will call it out

money is irrelevant it’s what you bring in and in what positions

money doesn’t guarantee success

everyone knows we needed more in the middle and it wasn’t addressed

balance of the squad isn’t great and that’s showing on the pitch

You have picked out the end of last season and the beginning of this.
2 wins isn’t good but we have got to give it time. I still think we have a good manager. I have never been sure about our new owner, and still don’t trust him.
But we go with what we have got,at the moment it’s better than what we had.
I thought I was a negative person, but you are knocking me into a cocked hat at the minute.

Some valid points from GIMOC. I agree with a lot of it. I do think we’ll turn it around but for me there’s no excuses this season and we’ve fucked it in midfield.

We’ve also had Saddle saying Eccles was ranting at the bench and wanted to be subbed off yesterday and GIMOC saying sheafs out for six weeks (when hopefully he’ll miss one game) over the past two days.

We picked it up for a while. We went on a good run of form which then quickly died off
