Think the best ever possible outcome would be a new stadium built right next door to the Ricoh, but on an elevated position so the new ground would forever look down on the Ricoh Arena.

That would be perfect.

May be wrong, but I don't think you'd fit a football pitch in there.

You don't have to build it just say you are but don't give any details.
A few on here would justify it

As much as a second stadium next to the Ricoh would be "funny", if it happened it would just about sum up the basket case that this has become. Cov United would move into the Ricoh, and in 50 years it would be like the Merseyside Derby....no thanks!

But by the same token, if we moved elsewhere outside the city and Cov United grew and grew and moved into the Ricoh, then it would still be like the local derby, except Cov United would be the team in Coventry and we'd be the team outside the city.

Don't think that argument stacks up. The number one preference would surely for any new stadium to be in the city. If a new stadium could be built next door to the Ricoh then I think that would be perfect.

Then when Wasps finally fail and we're a big club, we can move back into the Ricoh and use the new stadium for our academy, a la Manchester City.

You know the one thing that bugs me the most? That's if Wasps are in Coventry and Coventry City are not. A team that doesn't belong here in our city and a team that does belong in the city, outside the city.

Yet that is what we've been led to believe until just recently
It's almost like Schizophrenia has set in.
Thank god for predictive text on this occasion.
Affraid I have to take all this with a huge pinch of salt.

Well yep, we simply have to try everything to get any new stadium (if indeed it is ever to happen) built in the city.
