Almost certainly not, because of Brexit.

But it would have been much closer as he's simply not seen as so toxic and unelectable as Corbyn was by so many (and whether you agree with that or not, the fact is millions saw it that way).

Which of Starmer’s beliefs do you most admire?

I would say the best thing about him is that he's not Tory.

That's an interesting question, although maybe the more interesting one is whether Labour, Lib Dems and SNP world have worked together to push through a path with sympathetic Tories without the need for an election.

Anyway, we've done the Brexit thread to death, let's not do it here as well!

That the UK should have remained in the EU.

But this is not the politics thread and I don't want to derail it!

Maybe compared to past Tory parties but not the current cult. Starmer is a centrist at the end of the day and the current Tory party is anything but centrist.

Labour have got no MPs. All those sacked, especially the likes of Phillips will be back after a short period on the back benches let’s be honest.

Having spent weeks bombing the north and days staking out the hospital, including snipers shooting doctors and aid workers who ventured into the courtyard, because that was definitely the Hamas HQ, Biden confirmed it, turns out there was fuck all there.

But good news they’ve acted swiftly and now know the Hamas HQ is in the south. You’ll be familiar with the south, it’s where they told everyone to go to avoid having bombs dropped on them before they blew up people making the journey.

As luck would have it the newly discovered HQ in the south is also in a hospital so they’ve told everyone to get out before they start bombing that one.

Meanwhile aid agencies report people are literally starving to death while others are getting sick from the amount of salt water, the only water available, they've drunk.

The lack of fuel means not just no communication networks but no sewage treatment so raw sewage is spilling onto the streets which I’m sure will improve the appalling health conditions

As if that wasn’t enough Netanyahu has admitted they have not been successful in minimising civilian casualties but that’s ok because it’s somehow Hamas fault.

And the burned bodies on oct 7th that got blamed on Hamas, Regev, advisor to Netanyahu, admitted on MSNBC they were actually the bodies of Hamas terrorists but easy mistake to make as they were so badly burnt. You would have maybe thought the journalist would have followed up with a question asking who burnt them but maybe I’m expecting too much.

I am remotely interested in what happens in the Middle East but much more interested in its impact on the UK, and of course there is a long way to go before we know that.

For some reason I expected politically the Tories to be impacted the most but as far as I can tell Labour are, well currently.

It was always likely to be that way though. War, in whatever form, sees Tories unite in a vaguely similar position. Labour have a wide variance of how their MPs respond. Add in the other difficulties...

‘It doesn’t.’

He said that 200 of the burned bodies were now believed to probably be Hamas so the total number of Israelis butchered and slaughtered had been revised down to 1200 plus the 200 terrorists.

Literally provider more evidence of a tunnel than you've provided of there not being one, one you claim Biden said but yet can't find shit about it.

It's an empty tunnel and the big gotcha is "look it has doors", is every tunnel now a "Hamas HQ"? I mean there's fuck all else in the tunnel that indicates it's used by Hamas.

My uncle has a tunnel in his garden in Coundon, should he be expecting the IDF to come round?
