Given the demographic of her constituency it’s not that much of a surprise. Question is did she do it out of having any morals, or just to keep her seat?

Clearly it was a joke as 55 labour MPs would now be independent

Joking apart I was saying to some mates a while back (and maybe said it on here) that the only thing that can stop a huge Labour majority is a Labour implosion but they’ve got it in them….

Quite an important distinction though.

The front bench (bar the cabinets) on both sides are mostly a bunch of no marks.

Mate….. you’ve got Theresa Coffey on your side, I’m barely sure she’s even a real person.

An oxymoronic appointment if there was one to show how much the Tories think of the NHS and healthcare on general…..

You do have ro question why the British government want war to continue in the middle east ? And you also have to question the morals of our government who are still showing us all that they do whatever America tells them to.

I can't actually believe people are still backing this

It's simply gone too far and Israel have committed crimes we'd expect any 3rd world dictator the answer for

Said it before but all this plays into Putin’s hands with other world leaders.

I find myself reminded tonight of how blindly the Conservatives followed Blair’s dressed up dossier on WMD in Iraq that took us into an illegal war. They stood on the wrong side of history. I remember Robin Cooks speech, I remember Charles Kennedy leading a march, MP’s standing up on what in reality are very basic principles that put them on the right side of history. I’m glad there was a Labour rebellion, hopefully it will be a wake up call to Starmer before he gets into power. Not a good day for British politics.

If I was Sunak I’d consider calling a GE sooner rather than later - at this rate Starmer will manage to fuck it up.

The Tories would get obliterated if they called a GE now.

And Starmer may have fucked many things up, but this vote isn't one of them.

Pretty much only winner is the snp, but it's slightly better than I thought.

This won't move the dial much if at all

Yes exactly. It's a bunch of no marks that no one has heard of plus Jess Phillips leaving the front bench of the opposition. Over what is let's be honest a totally meaningless vote. Unless anyone thinks Israel and Hamas are going to honour the results of a SNP motion?

It's not going to move the polls. No one will be talking about it in a day or two when the Tories inevitably shit themselves again any minute now.

That's the point, it's political games to trip someone up.

Old Benny isn't going to say "Fuck the SNP motion has passed, withdraw the troops".

I like Phillips but she is very marmite and a lot of people don't like here.

Still the next GE will be fought on economics and the general tiredness people have with the government (that includes the SNP in Scotland) and it won't be fought until the very last minute,

Yeah exactly

Meanwhile Jezza is on telly refusing to call a terrorist organisation a terrorist organisation and people can't work out why Starmer is 20 points ahead and Corbyn got his arse handed to him

Do you think Labour would have won in 2019 under Starmer's leadership? With everything else being as it was?
