Hold on almost 60 % of people in gaza have a positive opinion of Hamas , when you consider so many are children then you'd say that is most adults opinion ..
The people voted in terrorists , israel are not the terrorists , some say they are , but some people also were sympathetic to the IRA cause etc ..

I think there’s plenty of support for the Palestinian people against (as opposed to over) Israel, but I think if you interpret that as support for Hamas then you’re most likely just being over-emotional about it.Wouldn't matter either way , nobody is likely to come out and say ... yes me .

I don’t really know what the level of on-the-ground support for Hamas is (beyond the, ahem, surveys you’ve mentioned) but I hardly think the conditions in the UK and the Gaza Strip are comparable when you’re talking about where support for extremist groups comes from. Asking how we get to this point is apprently not on either.
(And for the avoidance of doubt, that isn't the fault of Israel and solely Israel, not that I should really have to point this out! Nor should I have to point out that attacks on innocent civilians designed to provoke and stir up conflict are also to be condemned but hey, here we are)
