And here's another line from the Israeli military update - Jonathan Conricus says that Hamas militants did behead babies during their deadly wave of attacks at the weekend.

I think religion was/is more a means of coercion and control by those in power by playing on human's greatest fear - death - and what comes after it. Basically telling people toe the line and do what we tell you (cos that's what the God's want) and you'll be rewarded when you die.
