Yes. Poor again. No need for the ironic cheers when he came off though. Doesn't help at all.

Funnily enough Baker was having his only decent spell of the game and then AT took him off.

I thought Baker was truly, truly shocking. He overhit every pass and overhit every cross.

Thorn was right to bring him off, but really should have done so at half-time.

I didn't boo or cheer his suibbing but was really relieved when he came off.

He is really bad. We need to replace him asap, and thorn needs to realise that he is a shockingly bad player.

But not only was his passing and crossing shocking, he also is too weedy and gets knocked off the ball shockingly easily too.

I like him when he's on form, but how often does that happen? He seems well short of what is required to be a consistent Championship level footballer.

He was the worst player against Forest as well but I can't decide whether being involved yet being shit is better than not being involved at all (Bell).

Was awful, Bell offered much more when he came on. At least Bell can put a decent cross on a more regular basis than Baker.

His best game was against Derby early in the season.

Apart from that he is bloody awful.

Bell played well when he came on, offered an out ball & held it, linked OK with Cyrus and delivered a lot of crosses.

Just wish Bell could be bloody consistent too though.

That is one thing Baker and Bell have in common. You never know what you are going to get with them and you only get one good game in 4 matches.

bakers problem is he's to lightweight. the game is played around him and he offers nothing, he's simply not good enough for this level.

needs to find some balls from somewhere... that said when he does 'get involved' he does something daft and gets sent off.

I thought Bell should have started today after Baker's display last weekend.

The players need all the support that they can get at the moment though. Jeering him off like that is so braindead.

I agree, I thought he was dreadful but I still give him a polite applause when he came off.

I liked him when he first played for City, but the opposition soon sussed him out & his tricks stopped working.
Nowdays he just can't deliver much at all. He's lost confidence & blows hot & (more often) cold.

Bakers in a bad run of form for sure, that said I always thought he was more of an impact player... i.e. from the bench, last 20 mins... and in all fairness I couldn't quite work out where he should have been playing today(nor him I suspect:facepalm.. wherever it was his substitution was long overdue.

As Nick said Mcsheff was worse again today, as he was last week at forest, yet he will never get stick just cause of his past.

Didn't go Forest match but Baker was the worse player on the pitch today imo.

Has he ever hit a 'form' in a city shirt to know how good he is when he's on 'form'??

time for baker to go back to being a super sub, bell has earned a start

they both do nothing when starting though so were in trouble.

Agree. thought he was worse than Sheff for sure. Just thought Mcsheffrey simply wasn't in the game, whereas Baker on the other hand just couldn't pass, cross or run.

Both baker an bell are v average players but there ours and need supporting. I usually sit In block 15 but was in 19 today as the kids came with me, the abuse baker got today was discusting to the point where I had to have a word with about 3 city fans. All they do is focus on negative play an never get behind the team....why come? Surely we all want the same thing an people getting on there backs don't help. Back to block 15 I think

Whatever people think of my posts you will find few that attack individual players.
Unfortunately baker is a difficult player to like. He waves his arms at players not supplying him with the ball, chases lost causes but shirks the 50/50 ball and likes credit but not critique. He gives interviews in the media implying commitment but delivers little.

There was one time that pissed me off more than usual with Bakers today, it was when there was a ball played into the corner and he never chased it in. Looked to me like he just wernt arsed. This is a guy earning thousands of pounds a week!! I think the fans were right to boo him. He was a disgrace today!

I don't care what you think no city player deserves to be booed they are all trying there best but just average players how does it help? Barnsley fans I would expect to boo our players not ours....PUSB

Players are paid to turn up, fans pay to watch. They have every right to boo players not pulling their weight.

Agreed if they are experienced. No one can defend his performance today. No commitment or passion. Time for a one way ticket back to southport.

If you dont care what i think then why reply?

I wouldnt normally boo a player, however when a player is not trying/going through the motions i find that offensive. As fans of this club we go through the mill. We sit there in all conditions driving all over the country to support our club. And the least i expect is the players to respect that and try!
