Gone to Forest Green on loan, Robbie Savage appointed manager there recently.

Actually a good move I think. Had two ACLs but before that Villa were on the verge of nabbing him I think.

National league is a rough old league so will be good to see how robust he is. Top end isn't too dissimilar to league two if you see how many sides have done the back to back recently so see how he gets on

I hope they have revised that policy and stick to EFL/National league clubs in future, preferably within a few hours drive.

Not opposed to sending him to FGR.

I don't think the club has got it quite right in recent years when loaning out young players, but this seems like a sensible move for his first loan.

If he does ridiculously well the club can always recall and send him to a L2 club in Jan to fast track his development.

I think League 2 and National League (certainly the top half) are very similar, I dont many that go up go straight back down again although I’m sure a few have but recently lots of teams have definitely flourished

Why recall a player from a club they're doing well at to send them somewhere else for a few months with all the disruption for the player when there’s not a lot of difference between the divisions.

Give him a confidence boost then see where we are at the end of the season. If it all goes to plan then look at a League 1 loan but if he is a class above maybe look at keeping him around to get a bit of game time with us like going on as a late sub and maybe cup games.

Moore needs to build up resistance to playing week in week out. Coming off a bad couple injuries this is the best thing for him, im sure the club will keep a real close eye on him as they really do rate him.

This is a pretty uninformed argument to be honest when many clubs do what I've suggested with their young players.

If the performances justify it, I personally I don't believe in letting a player stagnate across a full season in a league where he's vastly superior to everyone else around him.

Uninformed argument?

It isn't me always looking for an argument. You always follow me around like a bad smell having a go at my posts. I'm just putting my view across. How can a player stagnate if he is showing what he is capable of?

And as you can see most agree with my view that there's not much difference between League 2 and where he has gone. Would you like to explain what he would gain by moving mid season?

Didn't you just comment on my post?

As a player you get better by playing with better players and under better coaches, not by remaining at a club you've outgrown.

If his performances justify it, is deemed ready and there's an option on the table to play at a better club in a higher league, under a better coaching staff materialises, I really don't get the argument of why we wouldn't take that - especially if the club rates Moore highly and feels there's potentially a place for him in the first team in the coming years.

There wasn't much of a difference between League 2 and NL a 2-3 seasons ago but there is now. Come up with your own opinions rather than parroting those of others.

Notts County, Stockport, Wrexham, Chesterfield, Oldham have all come up from NL in recent years so many of the big spenders have gone. It's the worst it's been for some time.

Pathetic as usual. I replied to your post to mine.

Come out with my own opinions instead of parroting others? My view just happens to be the same as many others. But why have you only gone on attack with me and nobody else? Just shows how much you follow me around like a bad smell.

So you say clubs recall players mid season and send them to clubs higher up to try and prove a point. Would you like to list them all? The vast majority of loans last for the season.

Despite his name sounding like a competitive prostitute, He is very highly rated by the youth coaches and has had Premier league interest before his injury.

Were you dropped on your head as a child? You replied to my post first?

How do I follow you around like a bad smell when I don't even know who you are.

Aston Villa did it to Louie Barry last season.

Stoke recalled Nathan Lowe from Walsall to feature in their first team. Albeit they were struggling in front of goal.

Joel Colwill from Cardiff was loaned out to Cheltenham during the first half of last season then moved to Exeter in L1 for the second half of the season.

Burnley loaned Dara Costelloe to Accrington in L2 in the summer then to Northampton in L1 in January.

Luke Cundle a couple of years ago was loaned to Plymouth then Stoke in Jan.

It happens multiple times a year.

To be fair to you, it does and I think it's the right play as well if they're excelling at a certain level

It doesn't matter what sport it is. You become a better player by playing with and against better players under better coaches.

As mentioned, the quality NL had has dropped off. It's not like a few years ago when half the league at that time could've quite comfortably competed at the top end of L2, or even in L1. The majority of those clubs have all managed to claw themselves out since.

If he does well and there's an opportunity to send him to the right club at a higher level under a management that can see his quality and will give him game time. there would be no reason whatsoever to keep him at FGR for a full season.

Tbh if he's excelling at FGR and a league two club knock on the door and say, we can do so much better for him for the second half of the season, of course we'd look at the proposal.

Case by case basis isn't it thats barely worth a discussion at this point. Might decide Savage is doing well with him and its better to leave him where he is or might decide to move him up. Lets just hope he actually does well first, a lot of our loanees have made moves that haven't worked out in recent years. I'm hopeful for this one and would be good if Dausch joined him too i think.
