Wolfie is better than Kitch. Should be Thomas & Wolfenden.

If Boateng had put that away, would it be our greatest ever goal?

Edit- 2nd greatest after Houchen, of course

Tbf, there's some pretty questionable defending in there!

Lee Hughes for me. Such a downgrade on what we’d had before.

His numbers don’t look too bad, but it’s propped up by taking penalties.

Bobby was in the Championship best team of the season so far a couple of weeks ago. This was before recent lapses.
Woolfie has struggled to replace the best player in the Championship in his preferred position.
In a weakened team, with three defensive changes at Wrexham, he had a mare.
The whole team were poor against Ipswich at home. Clarke shoots, deflects off him into the net.
Against Stoke, heads the ball out, Stoke player scores a worldie. Been unlucky really, as has been fine most of the time with limited appearances.
Really can't judge yet.
We needed back up for MVE. KKH has had bad luck with injuries. A player I am convinced will come good, if he can avoid getting injured.

Woof has played well, when selected. The Wrexham line up was like a 2nd team. Not sure why people use this as an example.

Because whilst there were mitigating factors for the result, his personal performance was dire.

I agree unfair to judge over a difficult full debut, though.

But the miss at Bramall Lane is still painful to watch.

Doesn't come across like that.

Viorel Moldovan was a spectacular waste of money at £3.25 million in 1997, which was still a hefty wad of cash then.

Disrupted the whole momentum of our forward line, and looked like a Sunday league player.

But then, naturally, he goes to the World Cup and Galatasaray and smashed goals in for fun.

Related topic: does anyone want a 97/98 shirt with Moldovan 24 on the back?

Craig Bellamy and Lee Hughes. Both total pricks.

Apparently we made a profit on Moldovan, Bellamy cost us £250k net, and Hughes made us a profit.

Think you’ve got to take that into account.

Yes, but more damage was done on the pitch than financially.

Hughes should be air-brushed from Coventry City history for what he did

Not only a poor signing financially, an absolute c-unit of a man too

Going off transfermarkt and it claims a profit of a million or so. Also enjoy how the “career break” icon looks like prison bars lol

Transfer market - lol

West Brom re-sign Hughes for £2.5m

West Bromwich Albion smashed their transfer record twice yesterday, bringing in first midfielder Jason Koumas and then re-signing striker Lee Hughes.
