man due to face child porn charges dies before trial but gets his name in local paper anyway. Sounds like he had previous so I have little sympathy but wasn't he entitled to be presumed innocent until proven guilty? What's the forum opinion?

hmm, if he had previous they could have mentioned those and that he was facing trial for it.

Always a bit dodgy if there's somebody named and shamed who could potentially be innocent, if he had past convictions of the same thing then they have still been convicted of it in the past so a bit different.

hm, could the case not go ahead anyway? Seems a bit unfair on the victims if he’s potentially topped himself and they never get full justice?
In answer to your question I agree with you that is the basis of justice in this country and if that’s eroded we’re in trouble

Can't see how the case can go ahead without him being there to defend himself.

Guessing he's now going to have a very low key funeral.

You think that the death penalty isn't justice enough?

The justice system isn't there to exact revenge for victims.
