I could donate a couple of old Jumpers for Goalposts if they require any assistance with this project....

Maybe it is Bedworth Utd's new ground we can then move into the oval, as it it a better ground then Tims shed and plenty big enough.

Here you go Tim's new ground home end big enough for a sell out against the bigger teams.
At least there keep the currant home atmosphere.

I wouldn't. That's Nuneaton not Coventry for me.

The psychological effect of travelling BEYOND Coventry to ANOTHER TOWN is more significant I think.

If they do move to bedrock then i hope they forfeit the name Coventry City. They won't be representing the city of Coventry.

I won't go to Bedworth any more than I would go to Northampton, be it 35 yards or 35 miles outside of the city boundary makes no difference, its got to be in Cov or nowt.

To be honest I am not sure at this point if I would go to another stadium even if it was in Cov. Playing in some tinpot meccano stadium while the Ricoh lies empty would just feel wrong.

Building a new stadium is pointless and wasteful. No government or council will go near it.

I used to live in Hawkesbury Village, and to me that would be acceptable for a location.

HOWEVER (it is a big one):

1 - Access is only currently via blackhorse road (railway track) and Grange Road - the bridge over the canal so neither can really be extended. Access would have to be from the back?
2 - Dont N&B Council have a "connection" with Coventry Council? Could Coventry Council have a say?
3 - In the grand scheme of things the chances a stadium being built 2 miles away from a stadium already made for such purposes seems very slim. I am fairly certain they wont get planning permission there

I very much doubt it is going to happen but you can actually access the site from the bottom of Bayton Road. Take a right at the island and go under the bridge .

Ah right I didn't know about that one, still I doubt they could extend that either? Main entrance and exits from site would have to be from scratch at the back of the site I would assume.

It would take a lot of work as , if I remember correctly, it's only a single arch bridge like the one over the canal on Blackhorse Rd . Cant see them ever getting permission for it anyway. The ground is very boggy and as has been said littered with old mine shafts.

I get that it's only a few minutes away from the Ricoh but for me the motorway is the point at which I would consider no longer being in the city, not sure how many others will think the same but there's no way I would class that as being in Coventry.

Anyway if they can't get planning permisson for a few houses and a community centre there's zero chance of a stadium being built there.

I might go. Not sure. I hope there's no stupid 3 mile radius parking restrictions though
