Just read another forum (OK, GMK....when I finally got on....) and from that, it seems as if GH will be back with another bid. Does not look like he will be giving up. Good! Even if he has no money, I would prefer someone who is a fan.

If this farcical situation was presented to a Judge & Jury, what would be the result?
My musing would be a majority verdict.
Further, the Judge would do you know who for contempt of court.

Before they consider re-grouping and making any other bid they better get their act together and not throw their toys out the pram.
Whether they will come back in is a measure of how serious the first bid was and if they ever actually had the cash in the first place.

From the CT

'THE money-men behind Gary Hoffman's bid to buy Coventry City opted to back out after their integrity was questioned in a legal letter, the Telegraph can reveal.

We understand that the investors were upset when they received a letter from the club, through a firm of solicitors, questioning their integrity – a situation that was inflamed when they started getting calls from journalists.

That came after leading figure Bruce had been named by City chairman Ken Dulieu live on local radio last Saturday.

“The response to the formal offer was, from their perspective, an inappropriate communication through a lawyer rather than saying, let’s just sit round the table and try to get something done,” said Hoffman, who insists his investors have nothing to hide.

“They are not faceless investors and would have been very happy, once we had got a deal, to be fully public.

"It is not like Sisu who are faceless people who hide behind the scenes.

“It was always the intention, at the appropriate point, to go public but while negotiations are going on that is not appropriate. It is not the way to do a deal.”

Hoffman resigned from the Sky Blues' board as vice-chairman in February after the controversial decision was made to loan young starlet Conor Thomas to Liverpool.

He returned to make a formal bid for the club earlier this week - but, after yesterday's collapse of that move, says he'll go back to just being an ordinary City fan.

He added: “The bottom line is that despite lots of efforts, every message they send, really, is that they don’t want to do a deal.

"Let’s just hope they don’t live to regret the fact that they don’t want to do a deal.

“This has taken a lot of my time, although that’s not important because I would do anything for the club and now I am going back to being a fan, starting at Middlesbrough today.”

Doesn't sound any way back does there!!

I have to agree that that's how it looks from the outside.

Dismissive comments from Ken, resorting to lawyers' letters rather than informal negotiation as a first step, possibly a little leaking of documents......

NO. The investors have cleared off.

Mind you he may still have his £1, so he maybe able to re-submit his bid again. And if SISU want to hang around for more money he could increase his offer by 50%.

£2. :claping hands:
