When political parties have bad news to release amazingly a "rumour" is released a couple of days earlier saying eg: unemployment up 7% and people are up in arms and when the actual figures come out at "only" 5% people are ok with it as they had been expecting worse. Is this something similar?
Up till now we have all be up in arms over the lack of loan signing now that is forgotten and we are up in arms over Juke. Is it possible that by end of Thursday SISU can proudly announce that they have valiantly resisted all attempts to prise Juke away and we will all be glad and saying well done SISU, forgetting the lack of signings. In reality there have been no enquiries about Juke and its all just a diversion from the lack of signings.

Or am I just clutching at straws and over estimating SISU's deviousness and cunning?

Are you a spin doctor. That's a bit far fetched for SISU to think up don't you think?

I think if they as much as smell £3 million quid they will be down Wilkinson's to buy a hacksaw like a shot so they can snap their hands off.

Buy a hacksaw? don't you mean loan one...... loan hmm, does that mean it will never happen?

No, what they would do is to buy the hacksaw, use it, then take it back to the shop and say it's faulty and they want their money back.

Hard-up Coventry are prepared to sell leading Lukas Jutkiewicz 22, to his home town club southampton ina cut-price £1m deal (daily Star)

so looks like £3 million is way of the mark just shows what a joke of a club we are run by clowns :jerkit::jerkit::jerkit:

If it happens then an fee will of course be undisclosed so we can all speculate as much as we like but the one fact will be that AT will not see any of it

Any thinks possible from these lot, but don't think your thinking quite devious enough though ashbyjan.
Don't think anyone can think as devious and downright bullshit enough like this lot can and do.

Sounds like more paranoia to me.

1. Southampton could deny interest in Juke.
2. Southampton could deny they ever made an offer for Juke if SISU make the claim they turned down a bid.
3. SISU are more likely to take a transfer fee than play PR games to appease the fans.

The fact is that Juke is still here. No use crucifying SISU for something that hasn't happened. And even if it does happen...bear in mind that a lot of fans have been criticising SISU for not cashing in on former players.

Theres a difference in getting some money for a player who is obviously leaving eg Clingan or Cranie than selling one who is well in contract and the mainstay of what little attack you have - a strikeforce of Platt and ROD/McD is hardly going to terrify anyone

I'm not in favour of Juke being sold, but just adding some context considering all the spleen vented at not cashing in on Westwood, Gunnar and co. No player is going to fetch a premium if they're sold with less than a year of their contract left, and they may choose to wait out the remaining time. Juke has 18 months remaining; if we're talking about extracting maximum value, then selling this season is when to do it.

I think you could be very close to the mark their Ashby, although lets be honest if they really could get £3 million for the kid they get the chance to pocket about 2/3 of that I would imagine, depending of course on what if any the sell on clause to Everton is.

It is a good theory Ashby, however it's one that presumes that SISU/our board give a monkeys what the fans think. You know, more than anybody, that they don't.

Ashbyjan, that is exactly what crossed my mind this morning as soon as i read Thorn's quote: "If we get nobody in and nobody out I will be delighted with that." He has to try and hide the fact that only last week he was virtually guaranteeing a loan signing this week.

If you wanna be ultra paranoid look at his twitter feed. A southampton fan has tweeted him saying ' you can't beat that feeling of scoring for your home team' then says 'i know you cant respond but can you at least acknowledge me with a retweet' and the juke had retweeted him!

Read into that if you will!
