Yes, but that isn't all fans is it? I know people who don't
go because they can't get there or they have to be back because they have kids but do want to go. You can't assume everybody doesn't attend for the same reason (that just happens to be the same as yours).

One thing you can say is that if we had a big FA cup draw there a few people's minds would be changed and you would struggle to get a ticket if Chelsea or Man Utd rocked up to Sixfields.

You contradict yourself on this one with these two paragraphs ?
How do you know 5,000 more fans will turn up for man utd or chelsea at sixfields ?????

I see what you mean that I am also assuming but after seeing the fans come out for Crewe and Chelsea at the Ricoh I don't personally think there would be any trouble in selling out for those fixtures.

Why is that? They could watch man utd or chelsea at a ground closer than sixfields?

Sorry, it must have been another thread you were talking shit on. Have you got proof 80% of the fans don't go just because of the reason you stated?

No one really knows the spread of reasoning for not going to Sixfields, maybe you could do a poll?

The thing is, even doing a poll on here is only a small % of fans. I don't doubt a lot of fans don't want to go to the game out of principle but it isn't the sole reason.

It was the same price as the Burton game wasn't it?

People will go if there is an occasion.

I love Cov fans. If you aren't moaning about something you simply may as well not exist. So more fans turn up to a game that could potentially turn in to a wembley trip. Build a bridge and get over it gents.

I don't mind how many go, I am just saying that "I think" if we got a huge cup draw at Sixfields or even a JPT Semi then it would be packed out.

I happily admitted if we got to the JPT area final I would go. If we got to the quarters of the FA cup I would probably go as well. With no regard as to who we were playing.

I think you are right it may well be packed out. Im not going to say that it will be packed out with CCFC fans though.

People will soon be calling fellow fans names for supporting their team. Whatever next, eh?

Definitely, there would be people from Northampton wanting to see the superstars but then again it was the same when we played Chelsea.

And that highlights why I get annoyed when people who attended the JPT Semi were branded as plastics.

There is a world of difference between those that turned up to see the Chelsea team in the FA Cup and those that went to see Crewe.

The non regulars that went to the Crewe game went because they wanted to see the City do well. They should have been welcomed, instead they were abused from some quarters.

That chelsea game brings back bad memories for me. Makes me hate SISU more actually. They had a guy working for the club called Justin BLANK. I dont know what his job description was, but to me, it was purely to F*** things up for fans. When I was running Twist & Shout with CJ and Jimbo he would constantly hound us, and tell us we were not allowed to sell outside the ground bla bla bla.

For the Chelsea game we had come up with the idea to get some scarves made. We were selling them (away from the immediate arena grounds - on the grass was not CCFC land "for the day") but despite several other sellers who nobody had ever seen before in their life - Justin ignored these, and headed straight for us with the police.

He proceeded to take away all of our merchandise, saying we were going to be arrested for copyright etc.

I flipped a little, nearly got arrested there and then, had to be calmed down. My main annoyance was that he had picked on us - the cov fans, despite several other "non-local" sellers doing the same. None the less turned out we had no issue with copyright (The CCFC badge is too close to the "city of coventry" badge so therefore cannot be classed as copyright). But yh anyway ...... nice little story for you all, as to another reason why I dislike our current owners!
